Ok, don’t take this the wrong way round. It would be better to have opened a thread where you swung the question the whole way round, and instead of asking, you posted the answer to your question after reading through the forum and coming up with an answer. I’m not trying to be pedant here, just helpful. I figure that the refined rules come as a shock to many, but to overcome it, understand why it has happened and what it’s goal are. Then you can create a constructive post on the topic which is a possible path to recovering your rank…

Thank you, you helped us understand the problem. I'm not shocked about being downgraded, the administrators did the right thing because of this big forum.
I have not contributed anything to the forum and community yet, but I am willing to accept all the good comments from the forum and post bad things for the forum.
Rank does not help me get rich but good knowledge will help me out of wealth from experience.

Yes I think the new law on JR. Member must have a merit is very fair. Many people make lots of nicknames and post spams to participate in bounty programs, which affects the quality of posts.

You've made more posts in the forum in a few months than Satoshi did in the years he used the forum.

And you were still not able to make a single post that deserved a single merit. And by the way you have entered the forum, starting to post only on bounty campaigns, I believe it's an alternate account from someone else.

I think you would have much more success, and most members would appreciate it, if you start to use bounty portals.

Just after that the post has been reported... Now it's the time to start to report "newbies" who were juniors before, because now we can get rid of a hell lot of spam with nuke... The problem was with the banning that the shitposts remained...

This will happen sooner or later. Nothing to sock now, when the new rule have activated. The new rule is right thing, this will reduce shit posts and spamer in forum.
The Forum grows stronger, so we should construct the forum so better and the place to everyone discuss about bitcoin and something relate to Crypto, not a place to spam and shit posts.

Going by the incident of 18th september ,it was Shocking and painful though to see many of us with junior member rank down graded to newbie rank .
But to an extent i think it is a good decision by the merit system.

The MERIT system is like a result sheet that makes you know you have contributed meaningfully to the forum.

It is also an eye opener for newbies to know that the bitcointalk forum is also a forum that reward you for contributing meaningfully, as such would be rewarded with MERIT.

By contributing to get rewarded will bring VALUE to the forum and make newbies not spam but add their quota with quality post and also value the merit system once they get rewarded with merit.

I also plea to the merit system to award merit to those of us deserving it, this will keep everyone happy to contribute and keep the forum healthy. Kudos to the Merit System while we await the best
