My Anti Virus detects a SONAR.Heuristic virus when trying to run the updated 1.3 wallet. Someone can explain ?

My NAV just quarantined the QT when I tried to lunch it NAV throws a hissy fit about pretty much every wallet I've ever downloaded, including the BitCoin QT wallet. Choose the "Run Anyway" option along with checking the "Don't Ask Me Again" or similar checkbox. |

Yes it is false positive. For general info, because the file uploaded new to internet. Chrome labels all new files risky for first few days. You will see some kind warning first few days. |

Yeah I've had that happen with a few wallets too. Nothing really to worry about. In fact I had to use another browser once since Chrome didn't even give me the option to keep the file. |

The mac wallet still doesn't work, same problems as a few other posters where the wallet doesn't even open. I hope when the mac 1.3 version is released, it fixes this. I know it doesn't effect everyone, but this needs to be addressed if you don't want to put off potential investors. Other thing, not meaning to criticize, but the wallet just looks generic. Especially the image in the app, "excellent crypto coin", "effective computing coin", "you name it", etc. I've invested in doge and recently mintcoin, for which I'm transferring most of my holdings to this coin hoping for potential. Their wallet is a prime example of a professional look. It's clean and to the point. If text is to be shared, it should have a specific purpose, the coins purpose; not just to add clutter to make it looks like something is said. Sometimes words aren't necessary, and if they are used, they need to have impact. I usually just follow threads and don't post but I see this as a much needed fix if the coin is to be taken seriously. I understand, we did so far 3 wallet updates, we can do nicer graphics designs, 3D and modern looking, I think we need to change concept in graphs also, because we are in mining PoW period, we can make another update for PoS stage, which reflects more of holding, interest benefits, and e-commerce side of ECC. Or we keep and reflect ecological side of ECC. My thoughts is maturing in this step. We handle things step by step. We have active google ads, soon to start facebook ads and we collect there some graphics. Also we deal with multi-pool project paying with ECC. We will have some time to update wallet but i like to see community graphics talents first and we can better design if we can have enough time to interact with community regarding graphics. Right now i have an arrow in my mind going up (to reflect interest increase) and inside of green tree (to keep green nature) Or simple growing tree with ECC fruits standing by ECC accepted shop, graphics has to be simple as possible also. And community can come up with better thing in any moment... If i like we use it. :-) As to mac wallet it's done by community member, pcmerc, we had good feedback as well as bad one like yours, problem can be addressed later in detail. If somebody knows the solution or someone can fix it please post here. |

We handle things step by step. Excellent, developer involvement is great in this coin and that goes a long way compared to others. I think fine tuning the appeal of it to be more targeted, differentiate itself, will really help this coin. Along with breaking down sell walls to step away from this single digit satoshi level after exiting PoW period. Although this is crypto and risk is the nature of the beast, anything under 10 usually scares people away. Would hate to see this coin go to the wayside when it has great potential. One of the main problems I saw with Mintcoin was the number of high sell wall orders with relatively little buyers. Their community consisted of a few big pushers and fanatics. Dogecoin, on the other hand, has many fanatics and huge community support. Because of this, they have tons of buyers all across the price spectrum. We need to find a way to be better than Mintcoin in this aspect, so we become the de facto PoS coin. The investment coin, to doges micro-transaction/tipping coin. Yes i am aware both projects, i think we have better war tools in this battle. Dedicated dev and coming soon good projects like a multi pool. If community enough communicate each others, not only with me but also others, can rise over the currently known to be "popular" cryptos. What a pity community, excluding readers and posters, very busy with continuous inflation of other cryptos, right now. So it's harder to see them (under heavy advertisements) how much effort and job done here so far and unaware to see real potentials here. I believe soon or late people will understand ECC difference. We are at early stages anyway. What makes me happy and push harder work, to have a bigger & dedicated community. After mining end, there will be no more new multipool dumpers, in reverse we will start pump with multi pool. This makes us alone very unique when compared other advertised projects. (the thing push me here (bringing solutions) not my extraordinary coding skills, but the goals i put behind the ECC) That's why we are not perfect and can improve for this reason. We should learn to put new flows (attract survival money or reputation) to our crypto ECC with such nice goals. If supported, we will be all winners, successfully carried our message (goals) to bigger crowds. Also I no plan to be investment coin. This is not my goal here. That's a small step:) |
