Issue is more related web applications, not really big deal. If wallet works fine, this is good & enough for me :-)

Enjoy new ECC wallet update, give me some feedback please
I am afraid of bothering you too much updates but sooner the better.

You need to give us one more update, this time with a constant block reward!!!

I have already demonstrated that the people mining constantly were only getting 90% of the number of coins they should expect. It is even worse than that. My previous figures were the previous 7 days. In the 24 hours since then I got these results:

Novahash: 173,359.026 per block for 4 blocks
Hashfever: 171,181.571 per block for 7 blocks
OKPool:     172,247.381 per block for 91 blocks

Is this OK for you?  It's possible that the results for Novahash and Hashfever might not be statistically significant, but the ones for OKPool should be pretty good. I'd bet that ECCHouse will have similar results.

HERE IS WHY THE POOLS ARN'T GETTING AS MANY ECC AS THEY WOULD EXPECT
http://explorer.eccoin.cc/address/EL7nryNPCZAdM2rAoPCdokDG9S6ae8Leuv

No doubt they have already taken more blocks since I checked just a few minutes ago. I copied their results into a spreadsheet and ran some calculations. The times are the number of minutes and seconds between the blocks that they found. There is no connection between the time between blocks column and the ECC/block column. I just put the averages on the same row, etc.

ECC/blockTIME
Average   239000   02:39
Median   248109   00:43
Min   100332   00:00
Max   299862   25:03

One more frightening statistic. They are mining 1/3 of the blocks!!!  Even though they are aren't even trying to mine some of them, they are still getting 1/3 of all the blocks!!!!!!

Obviously they are mining incredibly heavily (1/3 of all of the blocks!!!) and are using some sort of profit switching algorithm, which tends to go after the high reward blocks. Another important point: They only started 3.5 days ago!!! That is, unless they were using a different wallet address. Still, since the luck the pools have been having is getting worse lately, I think they just started recently.

You might think this is some sort of multipool, but I think you would be wrong. As soon as the coins mature, they are transferred to this address. Only about 8 million coins have been transferred out of that one, so if it is a multipool, it's not paying out quickly.

Obviously this is some sort of whale! Frankly, if they can contribute that much hash power, they can have their way. But, IMO, we should at least even things out so that the normal miners aren't essentially taxed at 10% to 20% because the odds for the high reward blocks are so much lower than for the low reward ones, thanks to someone with a huge amount of hash figuring out how to go after the high reward ones and using that in his profit switching algorithm.

At this point, I would recommend that anyone who is mining this coin just stop mining it and mine something else where the blocks can't be cherry-picked, then trade for the ECC. You won't have a fair chance at the high-reward blocks otherwise. You can come back and mine it after a wallet is issued that fixes the reward at a constant 200,000 ECC.

Wish I could tell how close my Mintpal 3 satoshi buys are to the top of the book, the suspense is killing me! Will I get a chance before it goes back up?! Argh!
Same here, although I didn't have much to buy with after buying higher. Oh, well.

Why ECC is not listed at http://www.coinwarz.com/  Huh

Better not listed... its false and multipools use it... it usually lags for the true hashrate and exchange...then
the multipools come in place and everything becomes a mess.

How is it possible to pick what blocks to mine?

Wouldn't you like to know. (Just kidding)

I haven't tested how to do it in the case of ECC, but if someone is mining thousands of blocks at an average reward of ~250,000 per block (while everyone else can only mine at an average of ~170,000 - 180,000 coins per block) it's obviously possible. Dogecoin used to have the same problem, that's why they (and several other coins) went to a constant block reward. Before they did, someone posted some crude code that took advantage of it and would let you switch between LTC and Dogecoin depending on how large the block would be. The code and explanation is here. Cgminer has an API interface that would let you switch coins much more elegantly than the way that script is doing it. But note that determining the next block's value required just a simple patch to the coin's wallet that would call GetBlockValue and print out the result. Of course you would have to compile the modified wallet. I suspect the same thing would be possible with ECC's wallet, but I haven't actually tried.

I was able to calculate a little more data about whoever has been cherry picking the high-value blocks. I was a little concerned that the times I showed might be misleading. They aren't the times the cherry picker needed to solve the blocks. They are just the times between the blocks he solved. Time that he wasn't even trying to solve ECC blocks would be in there. Also, I caught a minor mistake. It turns out that block explorer sometimes returns blocks out of order. Assuming that the blocks are numbered in order, so block 12345 should be after 12344, it turns out that sometimes he solved blocks one second earlier than he solved the previous block, according to the official block data. Don't ask me how that's possible! But anyway, the minimum time in the table above should have been -1 seconds, not zero. If you include the blocks that he didn't solve, then it drops to -4 seconds. This doesn't look as bad as the KGW timewarp exploit, at least not as far as I know, so I wouldn't jump to that conclusion.

Anyway, here is the new data:

ECC /    Time Since   Time Since   Block Age
Block    His Block    Any Block    His Block
Average   239000    0:02:39      0:00:20      0.0002
Median    248109    0:00:44      0:00:11      0.0001
Min       100332   -0:00:01     -0:00:04     -0.0001
Max       299862    0:25:03      0:04:29      0.0032

Note that we don't know when he starts trying to solve a block. One time, he solved a block 4.5 minutes after the previous block was solved, but when did he start working on that one? Perhaps just a few seconds before he solved it.

Note that the median time per block, if he solved it, is only 11 seconds!!! That's why it's tough to compete with him. You should expect 45 seconds per block, but you need to find a solution in a fraction of that if he's around. If the block has a high reward, he will likely be around. Not all of the time, though. Apparently for 25 minutes he found something else to do, no matter how high the ECC reward was.
