well the variation 100K-300K is not big  we can make it a true random, but it requires a hard fork, which can cause big problem we have 10 days to go, by the time I have the code ready, most time will be gone so forget it and just live with it if multipools choose only the more profitable blocks to mine (say 200K-300K), then just mine with multipools.

I don't think it's a multipool. As soon as the mined blocks mature, they are being sent to http://explorer.eccoin.cc/address/ERC42c3f7Qq8x4nhVcFA6naF2LWTFeQHnG. Currently, at the top, it says:

Quote
Balance: 625225137.658738 ECC
Transactions in: 497
Received: 638642244.798186 ECC
Transactions out: 12
Sent: 13417107.139448 ECC

That shows that they have kept 98% of what they have mined over the last four days. A multipool would have distributed more of the coins, wouldn't they? Either that, or they would have dumped the coins in order to convert to BTC or whatever they paid their miners.

If it is a multipool, you or someone else should tell everyone which one it is. A miner can't very well sign up with them if they don't know how to do it. But doing that would amount to screwing the conventional pool operators who have been supporting ECC all along. So any way you look at it, it's not fair to someone.

I would recommend changing the payout to a fixed payout of 200,000. There would be no possible way to game that. The coding change would be simple. It wouldn't require much of your time at all. You could have it immediately available. There could still be over one week of fair mining left.

It's probably ipominer.com?

It's probably ipominer.com?

I don't think so. They don't seem to be switching fast enough to be cherry-picking individual blocks and their total pool rate is only about 1.6 GH/s according to their website. They might be switching in and out of ECC based on diff and price, which would be fair, though. The other thing is that it looks like the cherry-picker started on April 4. Either that, or he used different wallet addresses before. I thought ipominer.com started mining ECC earlier.

ipominer.com might be a good choice for a pool, but I don't think they are the ones screwing everyone else.

The other thing is that I think any multipool (or any pool for that matter) has to pay out to the miners fairly quickly. I don't think pools would hold on to 98% of the coins earned over 4-5 days. Otherwise there is too much risk of accounts getting hacked. I recently started using a multipool that pays out in batches 5-9 hours after the blocks were mined. You don't even have an account to be hacked.

What is happening with ecchouse ?

"All was going well with this site until they did an update and now there is no option to withdraw. Just a few days before eccoin PoW stops, they decided to turn to scamming.

Beware and don't mine at ecchouse.com as auto payments have stopped and there is no option to manually withdraw. "

I posted on twitter & fb to alert miners to check their accounts if they can receive cryptos from the pools they use.

ECCHouse:
Quote
Oops! Sorry about the panic everyone! I forgot to re-enable the payment. It is now re-enabled and payments will take a while to get processed as the huuuuuge backlog

fixing a double payout issue right now :/

I don't have an account there so I can't verify it.

Just updating the nervous folks here. Ecchouse payments should now be working.
I actually received a few ECCs without expecting them. (or was it from someone else?Tongue)

In the last 24 hours:

OKAYPOOL: Amount: 13243467.625 ECC, Valid blocks: 84, ECC per block: 157,660.32, shortfall: 42,339.67 ECC per block

Hashfever: Amount: 1,482,055 ECC, valid blocks: 9, ECC per block: 164,672.78, shortfall: 35,327.22 ECC per block

Novahash: Amount:  1643144.004 ECC, valid blocks: 8, ECC per block: 205,393.00, shortfall: -5,393.00 ECC per block

Well, if you were mining at Novahash, you did OK during the last 24 hours, but otherwise you were raped even worse than in the previous few days. And even with Novahash, they only averaged 165,054.5 ECC per block for the last 7 days.

if multipools choose only the more profitable blocks to mine (say 200K-300K), then just mine with multipools.

Given that no one has come up with an explanation for why a multipool would be hoarding ECC after they cherry-pick it, I'm going to conclude that a Russian criminal controlled bot network is a much more likely explanation. It's not surprising that the criminals involved in that would find an exploit like ECC has to be irresistible.

Joining a mob-controlled bot network is hardly a reasonable option. So what do you suggest miners do if you don't fix the coin?

While I'm at it, the crooks have managed to hoard about 700,000,000 ECC. That's not bad, considering they have only been at it for about 5 days, and 384,000,000 coins are created each day.

Stay calm, we fairly distributed ECC to many people already. Remember our algo did not halve. After first halve it's injustice and not fair anymore (we don't cut rewards %50 or %150) when compared with others. There maybe few days with attacks, still not clear to me, but it happened or can happen only 2 weeks. Most cryptos out there and fine. Think about this. also this guy if bad intention ed, will ruin himself in the end. Goodwill and being in communicating with people is real richness coins makes you slave or evil if you get them in bad ways... Because easy coins has to be protected from others, because all others cheating see the trap mechanism? Also easy coins are worthless and you cant really hold them. If you want to buy such a chaos go and do so.

After mining all you need to hold,  we will soon launch our official multipool and will start a new page or hope in crypto world.

Just wanted to mention since there are apparently people that have received Eccoin from Ecchouse recently, that although it may be working for some people it is not working for others like myself. I have two days worth of mining there, 215,000 coins that I cannot even manually payout. I checked it this morning and switched to another pool after noticing that it was no longer adding coins to my unconfirmed/confirmed balance. The network difficulty on cgminer was also displaying over 1000, and for some reason my mining rig was not being displayed as an active worker when I arrived home tonight. This is unusual as Ecchouse is my default pool, and my mining rig has been running for the past several weeks without any issues. I would think it was an issue with the connection to the stratum, but PC's GPU was mining it just fine. There were also no issues with my connection to the internet on the mining rig. Ecchouse has been a great pool thusfar, but until this issue gets corrected I will be mining elsewhere, and if you are still mining there, you should do the same just in case.

Beat me to it, but that confirms it for me - it's not just a bug on my end. I think everyone on ECC house is mining DOGE for someone. Is it possible the pool has been compromised? Are we being scammed? What a shame, this was a great pool, mined on it for weeks.

+1 Have to agree, the first thing I thought of when I saw the difficulty was that cgminer did a failover to a dogecoin pool. But when I looked it certainly was ecchouse.
