What's up with http://ecc.okaypool.com ?!  I have not been able to release my coins for a couple of days?  Have mined hundreds of thousands?  Is it a scam?  Site indicates email confirmation to setup withdrawal, but no emails have been sent.  Used the web form to contact them, but no reply.  Looks like a big scam site?  Any others?  Feedback?

i've used okaypool many times on different coins, i'd be surprised if it was a "scam"... did you check spam/junk folder? if not try to PM an admin here.

Hostmaster, can you share some details about the person that ran ECCHouse?  Unless they make things right with the people mining for them, we should all be aware of who they are so we can avoid them in the future.

It's a basic fact that you can't know who anyone on the internet really is. (Even if you once knew, someone else could hack their accounts and take over.) People who are scammers know how to fake identities and hide their own. There is unfortunately no point in asking.

I'm doing a research project on coin distribution for both older and new coins. I'm interested on gathering some data for top addresses and how much of the coins the top100 have. This along with the number of people (addresses) actually holding any amount of coins.

I have some info from bitinfocharts on a few coins but I really do need some data on other coins along with less exposed or new ones.

If anyone knows an explorer with this feature drop a line.

Now receiving message indicating "You have exceeded the pools configured ECC warning threshold. Please initiate a transfer!"  BUT I CANNOT?!

Looks like something odd is going on.  Anyone else mining on this site?  If so, have you been able to withdrawal and/or receive automated authorizations via email?  Or is something fishy going on?

eschmenk thank you for the reply. I was worried because usually the coins account as "Uncorfimed" and get paid after a block is found. This morning I had 0 unconfirmed after 7 hours. I had only 3500~ estimates.

Sometimes you have to enter your pin code into the "Edit account" section and then click Unlock (then you will get the email), even if the pool said an e-mail was sent to you after the registration. It happened to me before also but I cannot recall if okaypool was the pool. I hope this is the case also

ECC price will be going down as the multipools mine it to death until the POS starts. 

I would pull any sell orders off until POS starts tbh.

Well, I would recommend mining a coin that isn't being raped by the cherry-picker and getting the ECC by trading for it, but if you really want to mine ECC, http://ecc.hashfever.com works and so does http://ecc.novahash.org. Be aware that Novahash uses PPLNS, which would actually work to your favor since they haven't found a block in a while.

They WILL scam you. I used one of the pools mentioned by user above me and wasn't getting paid honestly. I found a couple blocks in short time and wasn't even rewarded for it. Mining ECC is not worth it and wont reach ROI

Decentralized regulation is coming in the form of next gen coins like NAScoin and NXThorizon coin etc.  They have modular and extensible frameworks including built in exchanges, games, etc in the coins.  With that and a robust enough API, any website can utilize the currency by just calling it up within an XML framework, with its own secure application level network protocol, it could show a secure little window for any site showing the user's current logged in balance, past, and pending transactions etc.    

Trust metrics and control need a platform for any future cryptocurrency.  Some form of Proof of Trust where scammers would get their coins blocked or even refunded to the owners.  The only way to even start doing that is to have new addresses in the chain cost something.  Like One ECCcoin to create an identity, one ECCcoin to create a new address in the wallet, etc.  

This is the future of any coin methinks.
