Hello ECCoin lovers! I am an ECCoin holder myself, and I saw that Reddcoin announced a new PoSv system. PoSv stands for proof of stake velocity, and can be read about here: http://coinjoint.info/reddcoin-will-move-new-proof-stake-velocity-posv-algorithm/
After announcing PoSv, Reddcoin's price shot up, so I say that ECCoin should adopt PoSv as well.

I know price isn't the biggest concern for this fairly new coin, but please consider PoSv. The influx of new buyers hearing about ECCoin adopting PoSv will hopefully break some of these early sell walls.

good point about the influx new people though.

Every new systems brings some risks, we'll watch & see. I am aware of it. First off all we need to complete what we started (the most advanced multipool) then can start improving wallet, but again it has to be fit to our initial goals...

well people are selling at 3 satoshi..that means they dont care for ecc anymore... they are dumping it harder than multipools did...

shame...

Did anyone ever establish that multipools mined ECC much? I know there was one that did, but I don't know of any others. Even Hashcows, which bragged about mining new coins, didn't mine ECC. I know that I rarely mined ECC, even before the cherry-picking began. As far as I could tell, ECC was more profitable than many coins, but I could find a few coins even more profitable than it was. I would have expected multipools to have mined those coins, too. I assumed that most of the dumping was from miners who were solo or in regular pools.

Anyway, I think that most of the difference is that there are fewer people now who are buying ECC hoping for a quick profit. That would explain why the volume is down as well as the price.

I wanted to throw something together to show everyone I was serious about proceeding with this so… heres a very rough/sneak peak of the website…





Hostmaster…. I stole one of your banners as a place holder for now Just wanted to throw something together to get it rolling.

I will be working on the fine details over the coming weeks and I will coordinate updates and an ETA for completion as soon as I can spend a little more time working on it.

BTW, I especially like the slogan 'Green Future'. Just enough, suggestive and snappy. The Green of the Banners/Logo makes this an obvious choice, and I think the ECC community can use this widely.

Don't emphasize the ecological issues too much, this applies to all  PoS coins. The publicity requires a delicate balance.

I agree... I am thinking we can push the project as a way to involve crypto-currencies with the real world and for a good cause rather than just profit chasing. By planting trees we are literally making a "Green Future" so I think the message can come across nicely. I wont be focusing hardly (or at all) on low electricity cost/energy savings bla bla bla.... these are things that everyone says and I believe peoples' eyes start to glaze over when you start to talk about these things without definitive proof.

instead... we will be generating life and focusing on that rather than "saving" energy.

What do you think of that approach? this is a community project so all input would be welcomed.
