First, it is correct to say that there are more than 1600 altcoins but it is more correct to say there are almost 2000.

I don’t think so many alts are good, as most of them will die and some of them will turn out to be scams, so, overall, they don’t paint a nice picture. People will relate the crypto world to losing money and scams. That’s already happening, btw.

I think only bitcoin and some others will survive, maybe 10 at most, so all the other coins created are a waste of effort, money and time.

To be frank not all altcoin will survive. because altcoins are 90% down and its going to be diffcult for projects joking around to come back up with the rate at which new altcoins are coming up. So dont worry about the amount of altcoins that are coming. I just  focus on the project that will use blockchain technology to better our lives.

I agree governments restrictions and regulations are major barriers that has reduced the progress of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and I hope there view towards digital currencies will change in the future to make them allow bitcoin as payment transaction

Crypto development should not have much altcoin because more and more increasingly confusing, it should only focus on one coin, then create a good regulation for cryptocurrency, wake up systems that can detect scammers, so the trust is higher to crypto that can invite the number of investors and other companies that provide a payment system with digital coins

This is indeed a great plan. And everyone must consider doing it. The challenge with what you are suggesting is that every project has their own team and most of them are scattered all around the globe.
So projects with similar concept co-exist in the cryptocommunity. Most of them are not authentic and legit. Obviously, a lot of them are after for the money.
However, competition in the market is healthy as users can really choose the best and suitable one for them.

On the other hand, you can find projects that are really sincere with innovative technologies to offer. But, they couldn't find audience because their marketing is poor.
Sometimes, marketing is a big factor in exhausting its potential. That's when scammers come in. Scammers know how to manipulate their potential victims. Offering grandiose ROI, passive income and more. But in reality, they will be long gone once they dump their coins.
People should learn to evaluate projects that are heading to such failure. Else, they will be a losing their hard-earned money.

Altcoins are born every minute, and some of them died as well. But from what I understand from your statement, you wanted to stop development of new coins? Its not possible because first this is a free market, second, no central authority to look at eery coins entering the cyrptoverse. So its going to be hard just to concentrate on certain coins, its really up to us whether to support those who is back up by fundamentals and has real life usage or go to shitcoins and just make money, still a dilemma.

yes, we do need to make existing one like bitcoin to be more usable but we cant. Only developers can make that the only thing we can do is to promote the coin that we want and spread the good news about crypto step by step we will make it to the top and crypto will be more usable in the future.

It wont do long term harm, but will do short term harm because they will be bust soon, like 99 percent of the altcoins. Same as startups. Only a few of them will remain. Only the good few

I actually think that the cryptocurrency industry could use some serious culling, there are too many trashcoins out there diluting the users, and hence making it more difficult for anything to pick up steam. People need to cut their losses on the trash, and just play with the big boys.

we have 1977 altcoins. But we need to look at how many altcoins are useful. Many altcoins are focused on solving internet-related things, and few altcoins are focused on solving real-world problems, altcoins have virtually no use in real life. That's why so many altcoins will disappear. Let me give you some examples:

Mr. Z creates an anonymous coin, the next day we will see many people creating ICO with the aim of creating an anonymous coin that according to the creators of ICO will be better than the first anonymous coin.

Mr Y creates a decentralized exchange, next day We will see many people creating ICO with the aim of creating a decentralized exchange that according to the creators of ICO will be better than the first decentralized exchange

No one is creating anything New, they are only doing copy/paste of existing projects. Result, we have many altcoins, but that has no use in real life

If mass adaption will start, I think the number of altcoins in the market will surely increase. Most of the altcoins have unique characteristics compared to others (I'm referring to the quality coins because majority are shitcoins). If we will count just only the quality and functioning coins, it will be not sufficient for the world to use.

The current market number of altcoins are available in crypto world. But lack of concentration in project so many project are not develop in future and they take any actions in future updates.
We should limits the altcoin then only it will grow fast and current scenario few countries only accepting the legalisation so we should improve the reliability of project then only it will grow faster in crypto world.

I think the best way to make cryptocurrency more developed is if it will get the support that it needs that would transcend to transactions, deals, investments and trades that would really help pick up the market and make it rise about. The problem now is that the market is filled with so much uncertainties and doubts that people keep on holding onto their investments and ventures that do not help the market at all since there is no action happening. That gives that impression that the market is an inactive one, more so to other a dead market, which makes them avoid it even more.
