What actual real world benefits have you seen from altcoins

Interested to know what actual real world benefits people have seen delivered by altcoins. Personally I have seen a coin that used part of its funding pot to pay for school books for children and sponsor sporting equipment for various schools.

The reason I ask this is that good news stories can be in short supply sometimes and it would be nice to share more about the good that comes from crypto.

Some philantropic gestures are some times strategic business plans. But if it positively affects the life of someone, I'm okay with it.

Applications or humanitarian services, just really looking for good news stories. I talk a lot with friends who struggle to see the benefits of crypto, I'd love to be able to share stories with them about how it's changed the world for the better.

some coins have introduced their cards by which you can pay for the shoping , moreover ripple is being adopted by the banks to make the international fund transfers easy and cheap

Almost none. Most altcoins have not fulfilled their road map goals and have hence achieved close to nothing. The biggest insults are the platform coins like EOS and NEO that promised to change the world and yet this change remains to be seen. Altcoins are just stealing space from BTC in my opinion.

I agree with you on this one, I work with documents that need to be verified so a service like this can be a great help. Having seen false documents cause havoc and cost people a lot of money having a way to quickly and definitively verify documents is great.

I think it is a bit too early to judge EOS and its outcome. Give it few years and then you can make firm conclusions

Cryptocurrencies give us an option to get free from economic slavery. it does a pretty good job to secure our anonymity and privacy which is a basic human right. I don't see any bigger benefit rather than that. We should be thankful to Satoshi Nakamoto for the mastermind. It does benefit a lot for humanity.
