That's not practical for the funds users want to withdraw. There has to be some that's instantly available. For Coinbase it's usually 2% of the funds they control. The strange thing about this hack is that it took so long for them to notice which means that maybe they weren't all for instant access.

This still baffle me, hearing so much news about exchange getting hacked when their should be a cold wallet by them which will stand as a way of saving customers money and also multisign wallet which will require many to sign before funds could be moved out.

And with the level of profit they are making ,the secure of their customers funds should be their priority but with the way things are the whole lost is at customers risk which I think is not good enough with all requirements put in place to for every customer and submission of KYC , the best is to regulate crypto to save people from all these hack of a thing .
