A Lot of ICOs Today are Launching Bounty Campaign, Airdrop Campaigns, Without mentioning any specif rules and Budget Amount to be spread among Bounty Hunters. Or at last after all the bounty workers do the job they Just change rules. A lot of the ICOs are turning scams.

Here are Examples How they Change Rules

1. We had not Got any Response from the campaign Thats why we will not be paying anything
2. Changing the % of allocation say from 2% to Total supply to 0.5% of coins sold in ICO
3. Randomly changing the Percentage
4. Changing the rules of bounty Campaign intermediately.

Here are some of the examples.

Bezop.io (Ecommerce token) Said to Bounty Hunters

A lot of people claimed their bounty reward but they gave nothing saying that we had already reached the hardcap before the bounty campaign was finished so we will not pay them. they had given different reasons. you all can check their thread

Here is the Proof
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2635554.msg30363615#msg30363615

Puregold - First Payment Gateway using GoldBacked cryptocurrency

it was mentioned on the thread  that
The total bounty program pool will amount to 2% of all the tokens sold during the ICO. Up to 1 000 000 PGT tokens equivalent to 1428,57 ETH are reserved for the Bounty Campaign. The total number of tokens for bounty pool depending on the actual amount raised during ICO.

If the number of bounty participants will be less than 200 active users - the total bounty pool will be reduced to 0,5%. An active user is a person who made at least one activity in the bounty program.

NOW after getting successful ICO they distributed 0.5% (Though There were more than 200 active members)

You can check their public spreadsheet  (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10NYRMwvP6YmO6KbTTq7junXAM87KpBExo6FYYohWrTQ/edit#gid=0)

I think escrow services would be a great way to start building trust between ICO and bounty participants.  I know that there are bounty managers out there, maybe getting on board with some of their bounties will reduce the number of fraudulent bounty programs.

What I don't understand is reducing the amounts to begin with (unless it's spelled out ahead of time).  That doesn't make sense to me.

everyone will experience it with such conditions, it is really necessary to escrow to protect
the bounty hunters from the reduction of prizes to be obtained, hopefully for the future many ICOs are not fake,

I think this must be followed up. Usually, before the project starts there is already an agreement between the bounty manager and the project manager. But sometimes the project manager violates the rules by cutting bounties or not being given at all. This requires a clear system such as using the escrow platform.

It's really weird. Bounty campaign should really be escrowed to a trusted buddy. Last week, I had participated in a social bounty and didn't get payment. I think there should be more regulation. Also, I will blame the participants at some points. They should not participate in a bounty which has been managed by a low manager.

There are a lot of such projects and it is difficult to list them all. Many projects also extend the ICO, as they can not raise funds and you become a hostage of the situation.

Thanks for putting up this issue, ithoroughly  agree with you on this point, also there are many more projects that turned scam or never paid tothe bounty hunters i think there should also be some regulator that can fulfill the contract between the project and bounty hunters, in case of non fullfillment of contract or not paying to bounty hunters the regulator should start criminal proceedings against the team.

well, there are a lot of unfriendly things happening in cryptocurrency nowadays that need urgent interventions. Like my colleague is saying here, there are a lot of fake projects that only lure hunters into performing tasks that they do not intend to reward them accurately for or not reward them at all. The projects will cunningly come out with unusual rules in a bounty just to disqualify many hunters for their hard earned worked and not reward them for it at all. This is quite disheartening sometimes.

I would definitely agree to have an escrow system in bounty. I have participated a while ago in a bounty, which paid not only their tokens as promised, but some bitcoin as well. This would ensure that bounty hunters wouldn't get scammed again. At least in theory.

I completely agree, there are a lot of scammers around lately. Escrow service is one great option, the other one is to make some regulations like ICO team, personality identification or even licensing.

Am in support of this. It will make bounty hunting more effective and profitable. There should be an acceptable system in the industry that can protect bounty hunters interest because we are also part of the industry and we deserve to
always get paid for our efforts in promoting a project.
