Ripple Surges by 36% in 48 Hours as Crypto Market Adds $2 Billion
Over the past 24 hours, major cryptocurrencies in the global market including Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOS increased by 2 to 5 percent, as Ripple led the market with a solid 10 percent gain.

Since September 18, within 48 hours, the price of XRP, the native cryptocurrency of the Ripple blockchain network, rose by more than 36.5 percent.



Technical analysts in the cryptocurrency community have expressed their optimism towards the trend reversal demonstrated by XRP in the last 24 hours.

What’s Behind Ripple Rally
Unlike previous rallies of XRP, the abrupt increase in the price of RIpple was not triggered by a specific series of events. Rather, similar to the rapid recovery of ETH, the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum, it is likely that the steep decline in the price of XRP throughout July and August led the market to demonstrate oversold conditions.

Since late June, XRP experienced an intensified movement on the downside in comparison to other major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. The price of XRP was around $0.54 on June 21 and within two months, XRP fell to $0.29, by 46 percent.

Meanwhile, during the same period, the price of Bitcoin only fell by 9 percent, from $6,700 to $6,100.

In the past seven days, social media activity of the keywords XRP and Ripple increased significantly, possibly due to Ripple’s announcement of a new cryptocurrency product by October. Increasing social media activity around Ripple likely led to a rise in hype of XRP.

Marcus Treacher, the global head of strategic accounts at Ripple, recently revealed that RippleNet has experienced rapid expansion throughout 40 countries, deploying a faster and transparent payments system internationally.

There's a good news about ripple consider it has cooperated with 12 banks before ripple will be launched its xrapid. But i guess this will be a short term hype. This will not be so long. for those holders will become the best decision to sold their ripple right now and then waiting for another bearish trend again in the future.

This will raise question!  Do the centralized coin like Ripple have great future more than others?

Exactly, the surge in price has something to do with the Xrapid projects with different banks. So it makes sense for XRP to dramatically increased in the last 48 hours or so. But its still far from its all-time-high so those who bought at its peak must wait again.

But I don't see it going to touch another all-time-high though, we are in a bear season, everyone is really scalping for every profit they can get in this market. So I will just advise everyone to be cautious before jumping into conclusions.

I looked on coinmarketcap and it says that Ripple has increased to 44.56% today. That's a lot of percentage that's being added to XRP, I'm imagining if what if ETH and BTC has this percentage of increase.

This increase is the result of their hard work so far, look at the many partnerships they have made to various banks around the world. Now Ripple gets good results and soon Ripple will experience significant growth.

I am afraid this is just the usual hype that happens after positive news and new partnership announcements since Ripple has established a few partnerships with some prominent banks. I hope we can start a new bull run though, the bears make me sick...

The downside that happened back in June may be on of the reason, and the new product lunch added more spice, what really satisfies me tye most is the dactbthat ripple lead the way to an upward trend and most of the altcoins followed, a lot of criticism was thrown at ripple but guess whos buying it now.

Don't get confuse if I were you as obviously the devs are creating their own hype and it will be just a short term. I remember last year when ripple hits the moon and everyone are being FOMO and the bubble suddenly burst. A real quick loss to everyone who ride the hype. If you really want ripple then you should be buying before when it's just sleeping.

Can't still say but it has moved to $0.5 now and if this is likely to continue then this also shares the sentiment that we're on the bull run, otherwise this is just a pump and soon dump will come.
