Ethereum isn't at its best conditions now. Own blockchain does make FOX independent but doesn't guarantee a bright future. However, it's all about sticking to the plan and doing wise marketing and development.

ETH is the place for scammy projects. Just the fact you are on your own tech makes smartfox far ahead of any ICO that is ongoing now
