If the "young people" in that report are the ones who depends from their parents and receives money from them (parents) and use to gamble then more likely the reason why they are addicted to it is because they don't know the value of money yet, they didn't earn it. Once they started earning and they learned that earning money is hard, they will consider slowing down on gambling or maybe take it out of their system if they don't earn enough.

Mind you these are kids as little as 10-12 years old. They use their tablets and pc's to play games but their gambling starts there. Now those kids are growing up and of course started to gamble themselves.

I like your optimistic prediction. Surely most of them will behave as you said, but unfortunately from 3% to 5%, and this is still a big amount, will end up with a gambling addiction of some kind. And we have to do everything we can to make the percentage lower. Recently I watched a video telling that even heroin addiction can be conquered with friendly environment. In short, be friends with your kids, care about them, talk to them openly, and thus you will increase the chances of them not being addicted to anything.

100% agree with this. Not only csgo but dota 2 too, because dota 2 players can bet his items on a match too, back then when esports betting was not popular. I have a friend who like that, because of dota 2 betting, he moved to betting on sports betting.

No one can be blamed in today's gambling progress, it is true that gambling addiction is very much experienced by young people now they play as they please without thinking of anything beyond that, the environment greatly influences people's thinking, gambling will be very good if they use it with well and if not it will have a negative impact on a child's life easily, depending on how they work.

The reason is online gambling because young people play gambling from their bedrooms and their elders don’t know about this. They cannot stop them from gambling. Therefore I will blame online gambling for this. I only know, if you want to leave gambling, then you have to have activities that are outside of gambling, so you will gradually leave gambling. I used to be a gambling addict for more than two years, my days have always been gambling, but with strong determination and high self-awareness, I can reduce gambling even though I still gamble but can still control.

It's not that they don't know about it. Others know about it but since their kids have been seeing their parents gamble ever since, it has become an acceptable thing for them. I guess it's because kids want to try different things in life and gambling just happened to be one of those common ones. Everyone wants to try out their luck and see if they can hit the jackpot. If they did, then lucky. Otherwise, they move on and try to do other things. Sadly, gambling makes you addicted. It gives you reward whenever you win and people get addicted to that kind of feeling. I will not blame online gambling, honestly. I blame the capitalists. Even when they don't get addicted to gambling, they are going to be addicted in some other thing that benefits the capitalists. And if there's someone to truly blame, it would be the parents since they were not able to raise their child properly.

You and I both know that gambling will never disappear from this world. The only thing an individual can do is improve his character to the point that he's not gonna be eaten by gambling anymore. As stated in the article, experts and analysts know the causes and issues that lead to gambling addiction, they have clearly spoken about the dangers, consequences, and effects of gambling on the nerves and health of a person then there is a series of methods to stop that. But we are still here very clearly, the number is still increasing significantly every year, it has no signs of diminishing, even rising dizziness.

Yes, i do strongly believe you.
Young peoples are really getting towards gambling much faster.
They are not treating gambling as a source of income but they are getting addicted by it and addicition by gambling is really much bad and it can cost you a lot.
I have seen a lot of peoples who have wasted their lives in gambling and they simply spend all of their hard earnings into gambling.
Gambling is not actually that bad but should be treated much cautiously.

It's those loot chests, it's basically the same as gambling, especially if those items can be sold for real money.
Then there's those scummy Youtubers who are basically promoting skin gambling websites to 10 year old kids, these guys just have no morals.

I think it's a very bad trend that more and more games seem to rely on people getting addicted to these loot boxes. They're a huge income stream that they don't want to give up.
Recently my own country outright banned lootboxes and some game publishers (Guild Wars I think) were actually begging their customers to complain to the government about it. I live in Belgium btw.

Right, some of them gamble with their parents' money, so they don't know the value of money but some of them gamble with their own money and if the gambling addiction becomes more popular, I think it is related to generation gap. Today's young people don't want to spend their time by working, they try to make money hand over first.

It just doesn't make sense for a gambling casino to require your identity and they sure are going to lose players when they do that or they might not even get players at all. Even if gambling is legal in your country and you're at a legal age, why bother registering in a gambling site that requires identification when you can simply register to one that doesn't?

The betting system in most games doesn't really feel like you're gambling since for one, you're not really betting real money. And I think this is where gambling habits start as a kid. Although we really can't put the blame on online games that have a betting system because ever since, gambling has been a common thing in our society. Even when it's frowned upon, everyone's either doing it or has done it.

Agree! there is no age restriction for gambling because they might keep higher in order to gamble, there are many addicted people who will spend most of their time on gambling because they find difficult to work hard. Through gambling they should it is very hard to make money fastly.

I have the feeling that  this is becoming more of a trend now with more young people and more time on their hands, they can easily be turned into such societal orders, taking up gambling.

It is because the younger generations nowadays are much more internet savvy as compared to the older generations, and they are also much more willing to learn about new technologies, since there are so many online casinos that are allowing the gamblers to wager with crypto-currencies, some of the younger generations might start to play on the site when they saw online casinos appearing in google search, they might get themselves seriously addicted to gambling without any self control as it just requires an internet connection for them to start gambling.

Digital currency makes it easier for young people to use online gambling. When a young boy or girl starts gambling from young age they become addicted when they reach to adult age. Then it is very difficult to quit gambling. The trend towards gambling is increased due to the much use of internet and it is not good, because gambling itself is a bad thing and is destroying young generation.
