It isn't privacy that is the problem. It's the spammers that I find the biggest annoyance. In fact I've installed a couple of ticket systems to reduce this.

How do I make sure it's hidden? Where is the settings?

Bare in mind that admins will always be able to see your email address even if its hidden. Otherwise, bL4nkcode advise will hide it from all other members on the forum. |

Merge your posts into one, delete the second one and make sure to not do the same mistake again. |

Your email will always be visible to you when you are logged in. From your account related settings there is a checkbox that says ‘Hide email address from public‘ and if that is checked your email is hidden from the public. If you report any posts, your email will be visible to any moderator with jurisdiction over that post.
You can check if your email is hidden by looking at your profile from another browser.

Hope you are aware that after hiding your email, when you login, you will still see it under your profile setting? hiding your email, will hide it from other members of the community, but it will be visible to you, is not as if when you hide it, it will disappear. use this link to locate your email option. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=104610;sa=account |
