It seems that investors trust Ripple than Ethereum. But, it doesn't mean that Ripple is better than Erhereum because they are different platforms. They're not real competitors in terms of technology. The market cap is just one measure of investors coming in.

Price manipulation in the market has impacted very much on the top coins as BTC and ETH downfall was more, so it doesn't mean that eth is going down. I am sure it will recover very soon and come strong in the market.

Am I spamming? Report me!

We can say it’s a great achievement of Ripple but it would be temporarily, Ehereuem will replace the second number.
There is a miner different of market cap, ETH will stable soon and its price will be up in near future.

We can see it from now XRP have surpass eth market capitalization and yet,  it is on the 2nd rank after bitcoin.  And yet,  still far from reaching the top digital currency(bitcoin). It's gonna be just a dream for XRP as taking place of Bitcoin and sooner we gonna see also that it will back into 3rd place next to Ethereum again.

It begins to seem to me that many XRP coin holders simply do not know how to sell their coins faster, so they start creating many topics here that show that they are still in demand today.

According to CoinMarketCap XRP is flying high and increasing for the first time since the Jan 2018 surge when it nearly hit $3.50

Just 10 days ago it was trading at $0.26 but as of today (21st September 2018) it is trading at $0.90 (+91% in last 24 hrs) which is 0.00010311 BTC (+79% increase in last 24 hrs)

Bitcoin is market capital is now    $115,996,227,671
Ethereum market capital is now   $23,379,960,058
XRP market capital is now           $26,678,022,173

XRP 24 hour volume is            $3,192,760,355
Ethereum 24 hour volume is     $2,362,880,802

Do you think this is the period when XRP cements it place in the long run as second only to Bitcoin by displacing Ethereum?
Again we could see the flippening. Ripple is again the number 2 and probably will last in this position for a long time. Ethereum doesnt have any news or progress, thats why Ethereum cant be the number 2 forever.

Ripple market cap starts to move away from Ethereum, and I think Ripple's position will continue to be second in the coinmarketcap for a long time.

I have to agree with you.

Now that the Bitcoin Cash civil war has erupted and its market capital is falling as it heads towards a all time low, no fork will save it. That leaves Bitcoin, XRP and Ethereum to stay in the top 3 in that order for a couple of years at least.

XRP might not be decentralised but it is a worthy number 2 to Bitcoin because of how it can revolutionise the international banking and transaction system.

It is not necessary so ripple of course hard to water, but he fell very much in price, but its prospects for me are very huge, so now they say that there are banks that are already testing transactions on this token, and there are those that already use them, so the potential for it is huge

Ripple sounds good nowadays and I see a lot of improvement in XRP as a centralised coin people believe in this and XRP is raising it's popularity. Competition should always be there in any stuff, I am sure XRP has a bright future ahead.

Ripple making bigger moves. Although XRP is hated by lot of people it does have used case or working towards it. if you think from decentralization perspective, I can understand the reason for your dislike towards XRP but from the trading perspective. It has good potential to give returns.

You are right, XRP moving to upward slowly and gaining publicity. This proves the reputation of the coin as how good it is, yes most of them might hate this as it is a centralised coin however I guess it will star in upcoming days.

Basically, this coin isnt loved by those who even know nothing about it. They had been reading the loud titles like "Ripple not a cryptocurrency", "ripple centralized", and so on. But they don't understand what is behind this.

I personally am not a fan of cryptocurrency XRP at all, but during the month I start to think about buying some of this coin.

I think we won't even see XRP in the Top 10 in the next couple of years. It will take a while though, but we will eventually get there.

Many see it replacing Bitcoin as number 1 because of usage it has in banking transactions worldwide.

Unless Bitcoin evolves, updates and innovates it will risk being made redundant.

I am not surprised if ripple takes the second place and rise above eth in marketcap. Just as it has always happened, eth will be back again to take it's position. Also, ripple will continue with the rivalry, because it has its own investors who are mainly bankers. Others who have chosen to invest into it are doing that mainly to get their own profits and cash out.

I think this is temporary and eth should grow again. Remember that eth is not just a coin but an entire ecosystem.

Ripple will be promoted by owners of global capital because they can gain control over XRP, I think they are afraid of losing control of world money, therefore they are not fostering decentralization.
