People don't know anything about XRP. Also do not know how to cook it. There's a very powerful PR team. Support from movie stars, famous politicians and other people. Traders love ripple. It seems that investors trust Ripple than Ethereum. But, it doesn't mean that Ripple is better than Erhereum because they are different platforms. They're not real competitors in terms of technology. The market cap is just one measure of investors coming in.

Price manipulation in the market has impacted very much on the top coins as BTC and ETH downfall was more, so it doesn't mean that eth is going down. I am sure it will recover very soon and come strong in the market.

I think it would still return to top 3. Ethereum nowadays faced some issues with its security and developments, but when it will be fixed, i would assume that it would still be the top 2. Talking about XRP, regardless of the price, still this is the best coin so far.

We can see it from now XRP have surpass eth market capitalization and yet,  it is on the 2nd rank after bitcoin.  And yet,  still far from reaching the top digital currency(bitcoin). It's gonna be just a dream for XRP as taking place of Bitcoin and sooner we gonna see also that it will back into 3rd place next to Ethereum again.

I think XRP will stay at number 2 for a long time. Ethereum had its day, it was at number 2 for a long time and it could not get anywhere near Bitcoin.

At the moment the only competitor to Bitcoin is XRP. That might change after a few months but there are no guarantees.

Yeah, and XRP has 40,271,748,947 in circulating supply( don't forget it can be manipulated since XRP holders have more than 50% of all the assets) and since bitcoin has only 17,383,800 in circulating supply it looks like XRP will never be above Bitcoin and even if it will be so I won't buy it.. never, i mean even less chance!!!.  Oh and one more thing, when XRP will be worth 100$ each you will have 2000$ in your XRP wallet not able to spend?
