Rupee (RUP) is a pos and masternode coin and this month they will release there mobile wallets. Next year they will release rupeebase, a e-commerce platform where you can buy good with cryptocurrency rupee. Is this coin known by the indian people and what do you think this coin will have a good future. At some point in time india will accept cryptocurrency so rupee seems to fit. Here are some vid on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTbukqSEuD4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GCEtaqmOro

Is there any proof that this coin is seeing popularity in India? From what I can understand even with legality issues BTC is still king there (as is in much of the world)

Nobody knows what the future will bring. But the foundation of this coin is now solid. More and more skilled people are joining the team. So personally i think its smart to buy in and run a masternode. ATH was 0,86 cent, without any marketing and product. The price now is arround 1,5 ct. This month the mobile wallets will be released and after that the e-commerce platform "Rupeebase" will be build. So i think the ground floor has been reached and it will only go up. More info can be found in the announcemnt topic --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2232289.msg45910727#msg45910727

There are many coins which claim to be based on the national coin, but are there any commercial partnerships yet where you can trade rupee coins for actual goods and services? It needs to be more than just a coin with a name to be successful

That coin doesn't have any popularity in india and consider about the legal issue should become the main problem and i believe if indian government hears about that and there was a possibility all of the team will be arrested. Even bitcoin has a big problem with india central bank.

I've seen that this coin is just like those. And this coin aims to be a crypto for South Asia not only for India. If this coin will be supported by your local government then it will be recognized. The website says that it is recognized by 2 billion people but it is not this coin but the physical one.

if indeed the country has done that and that has happened I think that is a positive development of course and investors' expectations are certainly the same as other crypto currencies will develop and will become the prevailing currency

if I am not mistaken the Indian government prohibits crypto, so I doubt whether this project can be realized properly?
maybe before this crypto rupee was launched, it's good for the developer to consider it again, look at the petro made by the Venezuelan government and its development at this time has not produced the best or not the maximum.

At this moment the team is busy with releasing the mobile wallet. So when the wallet is released. The vendor who wants to recieve rupee for his goods or services can do that by using his mobile phone so he can recieve his rupees in seconds. Not all people have acces to a pc to install a wallet or waiting a long time for confirmations on a exchange. So this step by step building up the rupee blockchain is a good thing to do in my opinion. i don't know if they already have some partnerships. I think more information will be announced after the mobile wallet release.

All crypto projects have the same issue now with the indian market i personally think there are a couple of stages in acceptance. First people ignore it "it wil never succeed" second "its a hype" third "we are not accepting this, its illegal", then other country's and people are accepting it thats the point where the change will come. Fourth: "ok how can we manage this" and then there will be the last stage that it will be accepted.

Does the coin have any link to Indian fiat? With the name I would expect it to be tied to it in some way. The Indian market is a strange one with many difficulties from a legal point of view. Also technological Infrastructure in large parts of India isn't the best so crypto is only likely to be used in major cities.

This coin has no direct link to the Indian rupees (₹) or Pakistani rupees (₨) The name rupee is the common name for the currencies of India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka. So the target for this coin is south asia. The brand name rupee is known by a lot of people. I think you can see it the same way as other projects like nlg (old dutch currency before they switched to the euro) or other country coins.

Before the swap to masternodes and pos, Rupee was listed on yobit, cryptopia and coinexchange. After the swap cryptopia was asking too much btc for relisting, yobit is a an exchange where many people have problems, (also with other coins) so the rupee team asked them to remove rupee there. Now you can trade rupee on coinexchange, crypto-bridge, coinrecoil.com (upcomming indian exchange). next.exchange will be the next exchange where you can trade rupee when the go live.

Shit country plans for shit coin. May be another ripple, we need to go with the good ICO team before we go to invest or participated in bounty too but most of the Indian projects are worst and not even growing little buddy.
Mostly Israel and Swiss projects are getting success than Indian and other projects. You may stick to your profitability not for government or anyone. No one will help you finally.

I really expected some sort of a link other than just by name. That's an interesting fact about them all using rupee or some close variant, does it all come from one language derivative?
