Closing shop for the time being. I have run a bit low on cash due to some issues with bills and my job. There are a few people who have not been paid yet, I have contacted them and they will receive their money once it gets to my bank account. The way coinbase works is they will send me the money directly to my bank and I never see the btc. So I am unable to refund orders or send the cash until the ach transactions clear. Thanks for understanding! Contact me with any issues and I'll be glad to help. Hope to come back soon!

TAKE CARE!

Wanted to Exchange 1k usd from BTC -> Skrill.

Did not receive my Skrill, this guy brings weird stories instead. First he had no money on skrill (nor on any of his other payment methods); then he claimed coinbase closed his account cause of violation of their TOS; afterwards he said I should hang on and wait for him to visit the bank to get a credit for paying me; nothing happened except further excuses.

If you are like me and this guy owes you anything, PM me. I have a great solution in cooperation with coinbase to sort things out with this guy.

Thanks

Hello! I exchanged 2.59 BTC to Paypal. Everything went smooth! First, I just sent him the btc(4 days ago) and didn't ask if he had money. He told me he had to wait until the money from coinbase reached his bank account. He kept me updated all the time, and today he sent me the funds to my paypal account. So, if anyone is having any trouble or delays, don't worry, you will receive the money!

Hi Stephen,

Upon review of your Coinbase account, we have determined that unfortunately, we can no longer provide you with access to Coinbase Services. Please understand that Coinbase is a regulated Money Service Business under the FinCEN division of the U.S. Treasury Department and as such, we are required to review accounts in order to ensure compliance with regulations and/or our terms of use. In your case, after careful consideration, we have determined that you have violated one or more of our Terms of Use.

Additionally, once our Terms have been violated we cannot reinstate an account.

Please note, that we have not blocked access to the bitcoin balance currently in your Coinbase account; while we can no longer process transactions of this bitcoin via our banking relationship, you may send this bitcoin to a local wallet or another bitcoin address.

We apologize that we had to take this action and we hope you understand.

Respectfully,
The Coinbase Team

Well. I read through the terms and yes it seems as if I violated several of them. Cheers to me for not reading through them.

I two problems here.

1. There were several orders made yesterday totaling over 800$. Are they still going to be processed to my bank account? I contacted support earlier about canceling them but they said once it is started it cannot be changed. Let's hope that's true.

2. I had a pending deposit of about 0.178 btc coming to my account sometime today. Since you say the balance is still mine, will coinbase send me the 0.178 once it becomes available? I cannot login to see the balance if it's even available yet.

Stephen,

Your activities on the Coinbase platform require you to operate in a regulated manner. If you’d like to understand more, you can start with the following guidance from FinCEN:
http://www.fincen.gov/statutes_regs/guidance/html/FIN-2013-G001.html

We suggest you seek legal counsel to better understand your obligations if you wish to conduct transactions involving bitcoin exchange.

Thank you,
Coinbase

Stephen- to answer your questions. The pending transactions from the bank will have been declined on our side so the funds will not hit your Coinbase acct. The bitcoin balance in your wallet can be sent to another wallet off of Coinbase. Do the the Regulatory issues we cannot allow you to sell the bitcoin and remove the proceed via your bank but you can still move it to a wallet of your choosing off of coinbase.

John

Well then the orders need to be converted back into btc into the account. The only problem is that I cannot access the account to send the btc out even if I wanted to. I never had the btc in my account. It was converted to cash and was supposed to go straight to my bank. Now that the money has not been converted and sent to my account, where is it and how do I access it?

All I ask is that the orders on the morning of the 25th for 1000$ be refunded to the respective btc addressed.

I am trying everything I can to get the money. I'm sure coinbase will eventually just send me the BTC and I can refund Jonsjattmatt his BTC. I just have to work out the emails with coinbase. They say I can send the BTC to an external wallet and do whatever with it, but I have 0 access to my coinbase account. I cannot login to even see the BTC. I may eventually have them send it to me for me, or they will need to grant me limited access to gather a few things and the BTC.

Seems solved by now. I have received back my original BTC amount spent with this trader. I already was expecting to not see the BTC again so I am kinda surprised.

On one hand it was a bad case for me on the other hand this guy can be trusted for what he says (see this thread history to understand)

All in all - bad things happen but this one turned into a good end.

Thanks

All issues currently resolved. But for the time being I have no way to continue the exchange. I will look for alternate means of continuing the exchange. For now please do not attempt to send any money or btc to address that I have linked in this thread.
