So I just got into the whole mining thing and want to try mining dogecoins. I found this with help from my friend who seem to manage it just fine, but I'm a noob. I got the cgminer.nogpu.exe working and when I start it it request URL, Username and Password.
I do as I've been told and write it liek this:
URL: eu.multipool.us:3352
username: rshoel.1
password: x
and then it starts, but it doesn't do anything, it just repeats like this:
cgminer version 3.2.0 - Started: [2014-03-06 10:08:22] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (5s):0.000 (avg):0.000h/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0 U:0.0/m WU:0.0/m ST: 0 SS: 0 NB: 50 LW: 180 GF: 16 RF: 0 Connected to eu.multipool.us diff 64 with stratum as user rshoel.1 Block: 1c2183d10b44f12e... I ave a multipool.us account up with one worker so I don't think there is any problem there.
so what am I doing wrong here? (it's not supposed to be a line over everything)
hope for some help :3

What rig are you use for mining? Cgminer-nogpu design works for ASIC or FPGA device etc, not support GPU.

I'm using a 3-4 year old Samsung laptop which I took a system recovery on to use it for mining only.
system information:
Windows 8 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
HP ProBook 6570b
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Prosessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHZ (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHZ
DirectX 11
NVIDIA Geforce with CUBa
Well does that mean I have to use the cgminer.exe and not the cgminer-nogpu.exe ?
Cuz When I try to start cgminer.exe I get this error: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the

Your hash rate seems to be 0. This could be happening because cgminer does not recognize your GPU or is not configured to use your CPU. Basically this column will show your stats: (5s):0.000 (avg):0.000h/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0 U:0.0/m WU:0.0/m
The install instruction differ from miner to miner (I'm referring to which software you use) but as a rule of thumb check your GPU has the latest drivers installed. Also check OpenCL is installed CUDA for Nvidia. Then check your miner config settings and make sure it's set to use your GPU. Last but not least check your Internet connection (although for that you would get another error). Hope this help.

Yes if you using Nvidia's GPU, you should use CUDAMiner but not CGMiner.

I think the output is normal since your hashrate is too low

I thought of this too but cgminer can show KH so even with a low end card it should show something...

Firstly, install OpenCL driver for your GPU.
Then use cudaminer instead of cgminer for Nvidia.
Don't mine dogecoin as it's too difficult for your GPU, try other altcoins with lower difficulty.
You'll then at least get some shares. Enjoy!

Yeah I chould try mining a other type of coin. I downloaded the OpenCL.dll which fixed a error I got with cgminer, but does that one also work for my GPU or do I have to do something special to get it spesificly for my GPU?

Definitely try this and try mining xen coin. CPU mining is easy and at least you can tell if it is mining correctly. Hell, I have an old laptop that mines xen coins 24 hours a day using cpuminer xen.ltcoin.net

Just tried xen.ltcoin.net and it seems ok trying it out with cgminer with this in my batfile: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o xen.ltcoin.net:8899 -O rshoel.1:x but this won't work either, cgminer just crashes.... so I googled it and tried to turn on DEP on everything except cgminer.exe, and it still doesn't work :/ I've also tried to spesify how much capacity it shall use since I tought it maybe used more than my laptop could handle, but that didn't work either.
