Think about it.
Tesla building resistance plants to burn some of all the electricity we get from the sun. And saving the world.
Could be a scenario.

Tesla is just one company, oil industry is still a lot bigger and more powerful then Tesla.
I do understand you point though, Tesla is giving a good example and others will likely eventually follow, but for now we are still a long way from that.

They will just increase the Bitcoin mining difficulty to use it up.

They will just increase the Bitcoin mining difficulty to use it up. and any PoW-based cryptocurrency But then we would make another problem which is CPU, GPU & ASIC price exploded/constantly out of stock It will not count unless soon to be miners will realize how much money they'll earn with the help of free energy.

Are you aware that you can stop producing solar energy just by covering the pannels or pointing then in a different direction?

I think we will destroy ourselves before that happens. :/ The Fermi paradox can be explained by every intelligent species destroying themselves before they have a chance to expand.

Not a scenario. There is no reason to "burn" the electricity. You just don't generate it. Anyway, it is more likely that Tesla would build more mega-batteries, instead.

Clean energy can never become the problem more than the dirty energy being produced and used by burning petro; coal etc. People in countries like India China are worst affected by the usage of dirty energy. Solar energy production is on an increase day by day and it is replacing the dirty energy.

Tesla is great and has a lot of money to invest in big projects but I think to solve the world energy crisis it takes more than the likes of Tesla. There needs to be a global union to make this happen.

There needs to be a global union to make this happen. There is no world energy crisis. Eventually, it will be too expensive to burn oil and coal and global temperatures will fall. The switch to renewable energy might be expensive, but it won't cause a crisis.

I do not see how clean energy will ever become a "problem". If anything, it might even save our planet and our respiratory systems from getting worse due to air pollution. I think that if the air is clean, it might allows for crops to grow and bring back the Earth to its natural state... at least some of it.

I believe in the saying, "Too much of everything is bad". So I agree when you say, "One day we will produce so much clean free energy it will become a "problem". Lets take freedom for example, the human race have been given enough freedom that we're now in bondage thinking it's freedom. They will just increase the Bitcoin mining difficulty to use it up. Funny but this could actually work, very soon bitcoin will be the solution to every damn problem on the planet.
