CheckPool - Mining Pool Monitor

Hi bitcointalk user,

We would like to introduce our new app that we designed for miners. The name of the app is "CheckPool". As miners we had a problem with monitoring different rigs and it was so retarded to jump between different pools to see that our hashrate on different rigs is fine. Based on this idea we created an aggregator app that collects info from different pools and show it in one place, in your phone (Currently available only for Android).

Using this app you just need to choose a predefined pool, set a wallet address and app will show all related information. Additionally you are welcome to setup an "AutoCheck" feature and app will check your hashrate repeatedly. In case if any events happen you will be notified using default phone notifications.

Note:
- We do not cache any of your data. All data, that you write on app, stays on app's cache.
- We use analytics for crash reporting and improving app stability. We do not collect your addresses, hashrate, balance etc. All personal info stays personal.
- App does not require SD-card, telephone contacts or any other critical permission. Only Camera will be used, when you will try to scan address using QR code.

Currently app supports only limited set of pools, but our team is working hard to add new pools that you request. You are welcome to try this app and give us your feedback, or let us know about the pool that you would like to see in CheckPool.

Oh great! This is a very useful application. Since only a few pools are capable of giving an automatic signal that there is no connection to the pool.
Can you add a http://clopool.pro/ pool to the application?

Tell me, please, why indicate the address of the wallet? Because it will be used to monitor activity on the pool?

Ivaf,
CheckPool uses wallet address to identify your mining rig on an pool system. Almost all pools that we are using require addresses like a uniuq id. Only "Mining Pool Hub" will use a specific UserId instead of wallet address. Whithout unique address or userid it is impossible to identify user on a pool database.
 
Do not worry about it, we store addresses only in CheckPool cache and use it repeatedly for fetching info. We do not send it to cloud or 2-th resources.

Hi guys, we have an idea and we need your help to deside, whether, we need it or not.

We have an idea to improve rig status monitoring. Currently app checks count of mineres and hashrate drop. If any of these do significant change then app notifies owner. What if we additionally add logic to check last share time. Meaning, if pool does not receive shares 5, 10 or maybe 15 mins then notify owner.
 
How do you think? Is this idea good? Will it improve rig status monitoring?
