CG Miner running Avalons AND mining on the RPI3s CPU at the same time??

I have 4 Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.2s running 2 Avalon 741s each.
As the RPI's  CPU is only at a maximum of 2% busy I would like to mine a minuscule amount of BTC (or some other coin?) on the RPIs CPU/s AND run the Avalons at the same time.

I know that one can mine on the RPI's CPU, using BFG Miner (others?) from here:

I also know that I can set up SSH/Putty between the RPIs and my computer.
BUT
I have close on zero experience with linux and don't want to take down at least one of the Avalons while monkeying around with this!?  Afterall; The Avalons earns more in 2 seconds than the RPI will in a year!

Any advice would be most welcome!
