Google is ending its sweeping ban on cryptocurrency-related advertising and plans to allow regulated crypto exchanges to buy ads in the United States and Japan. The new policy starts in October.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/25/google-reverses-ban-on-cryptocurrency-exchange-advertising-in-us-japan.html

I think that this is a preparation for the reversal of the bitcoin price.

What do you think about it? What are the consequences of these changes?

I really hope so that they will do it because I think Google did it only to bring the price of Bitcoin go down and they now tries to take it back to make the prices go up again.

Lot of people speculates about when the google ban crypto related ads but no one speaking when they allowed so it means the google not have that much effective on the prices and some people who want the bitcoin price to fall down are the one who hyped that news too much and make it happen but now this doesn't change anything the price keeps staying at the lower level.

This is very sensible. Now that the ICO project has been greatly reduced, it is wise to open ICO advertising. It is wise to know that the blockchain era is really coming. No one can leave the blockchain. In the future, everything will be related to the blockchain. .

It is also what I have observed when Google ban cryptocurrency ads. It doesn't have a big effect on how crypto has performed in the past months. So I guess when Google lifted it's ban, then the same effect applies and there is almost nothing to be happy about it.

For a big company to recind its ban on advertisement on crypto currency is a huge thing. I mean it juat means that Google, trusts crypto currency enough that it is willing to stake their name behind it. I just hope that I'm right and this movement really reaches alot of audience for crypto currency.

This is very good news, which shows that a large number of investors are no longer investing in madness. Now ICO can hardly deceive investors because people become cautious and Bitcoin will continue to take off in the future.

Google trends basically decides on what the ban will be like. For example whenever the interest was super high they decided that they need to take a closer look at it because it was getting more popular and popular everyday so they needed to vet it more carefully. Now that the interest died down a lot in the past year they realized they do not need to care about it too much once again.

If the trends goes up and bitcoin and related stuff are searched insanely, they take a closer look at it and if the trends are going down and not searched for as much as it used to they just stop caring about it. I doubt that will change anytime soon, when millions of dollars are at stake they need to be careful about what they promote while if its couple hundred thousand dollars at most, who cares.

NO not totally because you can still see or read some news regarding on bitcoin ban especially in CHina, india and other countries that might influence other countries to do the same. As we all know that governments can do a mandates for google or any tool that could be use for advertisement to ban crypto ads in which facebook and twitter were commonly being used for crypto ads.

Google realized that they lost a lot of money because of this and now they want to catch up, most likely they lost a lot of money and decided to revise their rules for cryptocurrency advertising and now they will try to allow any advertising to earn even more money.

Lol thats totally imposible mate . google didnt loose any money because of ads  or because they ban crypto advertisements  .   you know google is a huge company that has a real physical store and business which means they wont only depend on ads just to earn cash  .

But still , that is still a good move for them and that is also a good news for us because the crypto adoption can now be easily obtain because many people can now see the exposure of crypto thru google's advertisement  .

Well, if this is true then it is really good for bitcoin. When the bull run is near we see a lot of positive news and this is one of them. Lets hope the current price movement is helped by such movements and we break all the records.

Since last month I have started seeing ads on cryptocurrencies at my Google admob application and I was thinking that something is wrong somewhere!  I believe that the banning was unnecessary in the first place and that is why they have to lift it.

Time is coming when both facebook and twitter will both lift ban on cryptocurrencies ads and all the effects that we are seeing currently on the prices are going to disappear.  Governments are manipulating cryptocurrencies market or blockchain technology by using those banning to make investors dump their coins and they really succeeding on this.

I think it's not affecting the price of bitcoin bit its another steps and good news to everyone that Google now is alright to make ads to their platform. Maybe they realise that there will be a good to allow crypto in their platform to advertise.

This might be a good incentive for more crypto sites to appear.

More sites = more buzz, more people joining the crypto movement.

Also shows that Google isn't against cryptos in principle, which is a strong signal IMO.

I think Google will not be able to eliminate the source of their income. Moreover, advertisements about cryptocurrency or ico are very much right ? certainly if they forbid all of that, it will reduce their income, after all Google and bitcoin do not have personal problems right?

I think this will not affect bitcoin's growth it needs support from the economic news background ! But the news is really good ! Cryptocurrency has moved one more step to world domination !
Bitcoin currency rate cannot be lost, because all levels of society will understand bitcoin, and in the future businesses will always use bitcoin as a payment tool, on the internet it is likely that Google will also see the giant potential of bitcoin in the future, it will always there is interesting news about bitcoin on the internet.

I think for the world of cryptocurrency it will be a big plus, more advertising, more people will learn about cryptocurrency, and thus the development of the crypto world, at least something good happens.
