This should be a positive move people will have more trust in new ICO ads and less spam? I don't think anyone would have problem getting verified if they plan to stick around and gain trust from people.

At least those dumb asses will stop getting scammed with fake Bitcoin get rich schemes? Those have the highest cpc on some of the advertising networks I'm involved with.

In the conclusion, fuck decentralisation and let the government regulate everything related to crypto. Yes,this makes the whole meaning of "decentralization" nullified. Governments can't just "not know". And ofcourse facebook is going to do the same thing,infact I guess they did, correct me if I am wrong! |

We all know that the crypto world is new and a lot of things are not perfect, and Google's promotion of cryptocurrencies to add a ban is not a bad thing, at least to avoid some scams in the name of blockchain.

I don't quite understand why would they ban advertising certain type of services on google but allow the same type of ads on youtube (google owned). That's just double standards, I'd expect any ethical-concern actions to be taken on the group level, not separately for each platform. Good to hear they're shifting towards more crypto-friendly stance though. This adds legitimacy to all the cryptocurrencies businesses that are allowed to advertise.
Google's original restrictions, which it announced in March and rolled out in June, were intended to protect consumers and included initial coin offerings (ICOs), wallets and trading advice, which are still not allowed. Maybe it's for the best. I'm not gonna cry about it. Although, similarly to regulated exchanges, they could allow SEC-compliant ICOs. Its honestly weird indeed, but they are simply trying to centralize various aspects of the cryptocurrency market which is both good and bad on the whole for the investors in this market if you think about it. The good thing is that this will encourage more people to jump into this market and worry less about scammers, but the bad thing is the centralization aspect. I do feel that this change is beneficial at the end of the day though. Other companies will most likely follow suite in a similar manner since they have a chance to earn massive profits and reducing the scam which is a win-win situation for them at the end of the day. |

Advertising is a good way to manipulate the crowd. They will allow advertising but will be more in control of it. This is probably the right step.
it seems that this is one step further, advertising can cause investors to be attracted back to crypto, but Google must provide filtering in displaying crypto ads for avoiding scam projects |

i'd say this news is nothing. neither good nor bad. because eventually advertising a cryptocurrency related service or even cryptocurrencies (ICOs) on these platforms is not going to change anything about the future that decentralized coins such as bitcoin are headed towards. we may see some hype in some areas but in the end people are not adopting bitcoin,... because of some ads. |

I feel this is a good move by Google considering the future of crypto space. I would also see in the future more boom for ICO advertising through these portals for getting in more investors and also crowd awareness in various forms .Still i see more scope in the future for advertising as we are in the early ages of crypto space and would see more boom in the coming future.

Whether its a good or bad news for others, the thing is the world especially big company names have started to see the essence of crypto-currencies. Advertisement will attract more people and investors but also the scammers and hackers.

Am not surprised they lifted the ban ,this is pretty way of regulating genuine project although the scammers will still pay the price to get what they want per time and also this will reduce too much of ICO entering the market . No one can fight technology but will learn how is been operated and how advantageous it can .INDIA is the next to lift their ban . This is just a sign about BULL to run once btc falls to it low again.
