Opened my personal Facebook account around 2007 or so and it was exciting, especially as one could connect with old friends and those you've lost connect with. Starting posting a few pictures almost on a daily basis just for the fun of it. With the advent of twitter, the micro blogging site, my attention shifted to Twitter, especially as it was more real-time-on-time than Facebook.

I recently decided to have a peep into my Facebook and see what's going one in there, and dang! and old picture of mine from way back popped up, I think it was Facebook reminding me about and the memories.. So I decided to take a further step by going to my gallery just to check out my pictures. Saw of some my old pics that got me laughing real hard, I think I felt my ribs crack. I wondered how on earth I took those sort of pictures and posted them on social media. Save for the fact that my newbie status wont allow posting of pictures, I would posted a few here for y'all to join in the laughter.

So I ask, are you proud of those pics from way back, especially those ones on Facebook?

In my case, my photos and memories are the past, and the past is best ignored.

I would never want to see my old pics I took and posted and your right the past is suppose to stay the past most of us were young and dumb about what we posted and once the pics get out there u can never take them back u just have to take th criticism that other people given so my advice is to keep all your personal stuff that you don't want on the Internet to yourself.   Lol

To the right of the search field at the top of the app or website, you can select whether you want to search posts, people, and photos, among other options. Enter a search term you remember from the post (like "funny dog") and it'll pull up related results.

I am actually proud of my first pictures on Facebook. I was so fit back then! LOL Now, not so much. I try to stay away from cameras. It's great that somehow Facebook has been able to immortalize our experiences. When we go back to it, it feels like a time capsule. If Facebook survives a few more decades, it will be awesome, funny, and nostalgic.

If you'd think about it there may actually be a lot of dead people on Facebook. In my friends list alone, there are already 3 dead persons. And yet somehow, we could still visit them and reminisce just seeing their old posts, photos, shares. It's great. Most probably in the future, there will already be an archive of just about every person who made a profile in there and kept it.

I don't really care if my old photos will be posted again, there is nothing wrong with my old photos and that's the real you so there is no reason to hide it, for me, memories are the best thing we can have. Actually, I am jealous of those who still have their baby pictures, because my baby pictures destroy by the typhoon.

Facebook users since 2009. Yes it was fun to see old pics of ours just suddenly popping in front of us. Although there was one I vividly remember, my office mate, who is 2010 was diagnosed with lung cancer, but he survived early. Unfortunately, he died in 2011.

But our memories still lives on, damn it was 10 years from now. My kids is just small and now they are taller than me.  Grin. And everything is capture on Facebook.  Grin

Facebook is the best place to save old photos. When I log in to my account and see my old photos I laugh a lot, and there are things I was surprised how you published, but still have beautiful memories
