yes, it is profitable, but not for everyone.
If you are a huge fund and enter on pre-sale stage, then your bonus is tremendous and you can sell immediately after listing in profit even if price is lower then on crowd sale.

Investing in ICOs can always bring good returns to investors in a short time if they have a good choice. Although there are now many fraudulent ICO market. But researching and carefully selecting ICOs before making a decision to invest will always benefit ICO investments.

Sometimes some scam ico owners are really expert in making their project looks legit then will just make an exit scam. So we really need to choose wisely before making our investments.

Yes if you invest in really good ico with quality project and experienced team coupled with on time performance and secondly you need to give them time, dont try to sell as soon as on exchange, give the team few months and then you can take profit.
very true of your opinion if indeed we get a good ico but with conditions like now many ico that end in fraud and only for the benefit of individuals

If you are a large investor, then a profitable purchase of coins is possible only on ICO. Decentralized exchange is not suitable, because the purchase will greatly increase the rate of altcoin. If you are a small investor, then you can buy coins after the ICO, they can even be cheaper, but only if the market continues to fall and the coins are available for sale. Many projects are now freezing tokens, until better times.

All ICO's are scams now or WAY overvalued. Stay away.
statements like these that keep investors away and lack of confidence in an investment in ICO projects so that ICOs who are truly honest with their projects fail to achieve hardcap.

I quite often invest in ICO, my last investment was cointroops, and only 1 time I was unlucky and I did not recapture my money. All the other times was 80% at least.

It always happens in different ways, because projects cannot be equally successful, many projects today, unfortunately, are more like scam projects, because in their idea they are not global

exactly, sad thing is i don't have any smerits for you.. Smiley

big investors always can find a way to make great profits with "private" sales.. if you plan to buy a coin at its main sale, you should be very selective. almost every coin fall its ico level when it goes live at any market except binance.

A friend of mine told a story last year that he invested a hundred dollars in coins and at the end of the year its price grew a hundred times. So it used to be profitable. But this year, participation in the ico is comparable to the lottery.

Hello everyone, I have seen many failed projects recently. I have received many emails regarding investing on ICOs, so is it still a good time to invest? I didn't made good with my earlier investments. Is there still a future for ERC-20 tokens?

Though there will always be few exception but many ICOs nowadays are not like how they were last year when they used to be profitable immediately at listing in market. Now you need more patience.

Investing on ICOs are still profitable because there are still ICOs that has potential in the market. They are bringing more innovative ideas and creating viable products that the public could use after their ICOs.

ICOs serve as one of the means to get valuable coins at cheap prices . The intention of the ICO is to raise funds for the continuation of the development of a project, thus creating an asset which will generate more profit when it is fully developed. What matters most is the ability to identify the right ICO to join because not all projects are able to develop an asset which generate profit for its investors.

Almost of ico give profitable for investor, but you have faster for selling your asset investment after listing at the exchange market, when you get with higher price than ico you can sell it and try for joined other ico investment project at the next time.
that will be only get a little profit

This year it is increasingly difficult to reach hardcap, many scam projects make investors afraid to put their money in, I'm sure that the future of ICO is coming to an end, devs. must be creative to find sources of funds other than ICO.

Investing in ICo is always profitable but one thing we have to find that there is huge risk involved in ICO because we don't know whether the project is successful or they will cheat the people after raising money. So we need to be very careful when dealing with the ICO's.

Sure it is. As long as you do a thorough check about the project and they don't disappear on you the next day it would be profitable.

Investing in ICO is indeed profitable, but for now there are many ico that are stuck, so it would be better if you invest in coins that in the future will also give you an advantage

the selection of the ICO will be determining the outcome of the investment. This could be a good investment decision when it encountered the ICO. that becomes the risk is the too large number of ICO so naturally in selection will take time and it is not easy. the scam also many even make the vigilance of the excess to the investors.

Not for the majority of 2018 unfortunately, most of the projects I have invested with or watched have struggled to maintain anything close to their ICO price when they launched on the exchanges. In fact some of those during the summer quickly lost around 80 to 90% of their value leaving large losses for people looking to get rich with a quick flip. Not sure it this is entriely due to the bear market or just simply poorly planned projects that struggle to attract investment, so hoping to see an improvement when we turn the corner.
