On-chain provably fair platforms are preferred over anything else.

I assume that's sarcasm?  On-chain gambling has got to be the worst experience you can possibly have. Let's take the one from your signature:

a) Each bet has a high transaction fee cost  (to send, receive, consolidate)

b) It has like a 30% house edge. wtf?!

c) You have to wait an average of 10 minutes to know if you win/lose each bet

d) There's no nice betting UI, and you're constrained what type of bet you can make (only 10x with 1/16 chance of winning)

e) There's no way the site can support high-limit bets, as the entire scheme is vulnerable to block withholding attacks.

The only time I'd consider going anywhere near on-chain betting is if it was trustless (i.e. some of the ethereum designs) and I was betting an absolutely huge amount to justify the shitty UX.

---

To answer the OP, the best sites are one you can can trust. Avoid some of the new flyby night operations, no matter what they promise it's just not worth it. Personally I wouldn't bother on any dicesite other than primedice.com or bustadice.com. Both are popular, (verifiably) honestly run, have good support, and a decent house edge (1%), and most importantly you know even if you win 100+ btc you're going to get paid without any bullshit. Other than that, it's really just a question of which site you think is prettier or something.

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Most dice sites these days are provably fair. I think the only dice site I have encountered that wasn't provably fair was the Yobit dice where I always ended up gambling away all my alt coins that I got depositted from a mining pool when I used to GPU mine new alts back in the day.

Basically I assumed it was bad luck or emotions but later many people complained about the same thing and with it not being provably fair is probably the way they cheated people.

So with that out of the way most people generally go with a dice site that has a reputation and good community feedback such as FJ, PD, Bitsler, etc.

This is why its very difficult these days for a new dice site to gain traction, because most people just use the old and reputable dice sites these days instead of taking a risk and depositing their BTC to a new site which might end up as a scam.

Hey,

I was wondering about Dice games lately and what makes people choose particular platforms to play. I have my own reasons, but I'm really curious if yours are similar.

So my question is: What makes you choose the particular Dice platform and what are the most important aspects that makes you stay on it?

Bests,
bur4n

The most important aspects to consider in 2018 is
 - If they have KYC for withdrawals
 - If the support is responsive and very active on bitcointalk
 - The site - Site is in operation since a few years with no active scam accusations on bitcointalk
 - If their account is tagged as negative on bitcointalk

Every site can be provable fair and stuff but whatever happens, after you win/lose matters more as an overall experience. Choose crypto-games.net over the mediocre dices sites any day!

When a site require a kyc to withdraw then its a no no place to gamble, we don't know what will the site going to do with our id, its great to see the mod active on the forum, it will certainly increase the trust and easier to confirm something, for me its very important that the site got provably fair, got good reputation, fast and easy deposit withdrawal, and good customer support is a must

Most dice sites these days are provably fair. I think the only dice site I have encountered that wasn't provably fair was the Yobit dice where I always ended up gambling away all my alt coins that I got depositted from a mining pool when I used to GPU mine new alts back in the day.

Its not only yobit dice is not provably fair some of infamous dice site isn't provably fair, and yes most of the people will find trusted dice casino to play, they don't want to try some sites that maybe can runaway with their money, so for the new dice site, it will need time before a lot gamblers go to that site

I also suffered losses back then when I'm still new to this industry, I keep playing with my luck using yobit as it is one of the famous exchange where you can do both gambling and trading depending with your choice, but now that there's already a lots of reputative gambling site who offer dice game where you can select what's fitted to your needs and where you can be comfortable playing, just find site where the rules are clearly and the deposit and withdrawal are automatic and if possible no KYC requirements for much quicker and hassle free gambling.

Well all of the opinions will be different but majority of it are gonna revolve around deposit, withdraw and probably fair because that is what it matters. Pre credit deposit is a something I like about bustabit the most and similarly love the instant withdrawal system (like yolodice has).

Rest of them are just to statisfy community needs and give gamblers a good environment. For me personally I love hitting high multipliers so any dice games that allows me to hit above 99x becomes my favourite along with fast deposit and withdrawal system.

the design, the withdrawal time (instant, automatic) and the community (must have some sort of chat)

And good GIF's  Cool

oh god,how I hate the GIFs
this makes me wanna close chat 99.9% of the time
and chat is 79.23% of the reason I play Smiley
duckdice and now dice-bet too , et tu ,Brute  Cry
at least have an option to not display them GIFs in settings, please

Sometimes I want to turn off the gifs too because some people put too flashy gifs in chat and I just like seeing words in general too but I really never said anything about it because it was like okay I guess.

So now it is settled we have to make and easy on/off switch for the GIF's  Tongue

The Yobit exchange was a pretty good exchange back in the day, but when they got bigger they really started not to care about customer satisfaction.

Their success was built on the fact that they very quickly listed new alts. Pretty much within a day or so, so they always had miners opening accounts with them. But later on the issues were that they got huge and most of the wallet daemon were down for months and you couldn't get your coins off the website.

Then they added the Yobit dice, which in my opinion an exchange shouldn't do since its not in their best interest to introduce gambling because many miners back then played that Yobit dice out of boredom and martigaled and lost all their daily mining revenue. Then we asked the devs to add provably fair option to their dice but it was never added.

Later on there was supports they were under investigation for fraud and most people stayed away from that website. I think if you are located in Russia and have close ties to the admin then your coins are safe but anybody else that deposits their coins there might have them frozen forever when their daemon crashes and they don't bother to get it restarted.

On-chain provably fair platforms are preferred over anything else.

I don't think so
if you have a look at traditional off-chain account type games and on-chain betting platforms
the number of players is simply incomparable, on-chain games are losing hands down
there are many reasons to that, the main ones: slow result resolution, fees for every bet you make, much less trusted platforms to bet at

The most important thing we see from the site dice is reputation. Because sites with good reputations are sure to guarantee that the funds we have will not disappear (without us playing) this is the main factor that underlies some people to choose a particular site to play their funds

May be you should check on 999dice which is having huge reputation last time, until someone find that they are scamming their money and then there is nothing that can gain back your money there. It is not like what you said before. Big reputation site also can scam us one day but there is only small chance to do that. We never know when it is going to be. There is no perfect about being such a huge reputablr site, but you can see through their activity and development to make sure that you are playing on the right site

absolutely right, all good sites that have a good reputation do not rule out the possibility that they will commit a scam. but it would be better if we were careful not to enter large amounts of funds.
we all already know some of the big scams done by gambling sites and dice as a gambling site that is very popular, of course it becomes very interesting for some sites that end up scam

most of the dice sites have automatic withdrawals nowadays , cannot remember one that doesn't
well unless it is some third tier new site with no bankroll
or bitdouble  Tongue which is notorious for having manual withdrawals ( a very good site otherwise)
support is helpful when you are having troubles, yes , Stake has a good one, for example
I prefer to not have to resort to support's help, just depo, play and withdraw

You can put a lot of money there on the reputable site if only you want to spend a longer time with them but if it is just only for fun then you should not put more, only some that you are willing to gamble. Mostly, up till this day, it is pretty easy to predict the site whether it is scam or not, it is not guarantee but it will be a better to adjust on amount that you are willing to lose

As far as I know, there are still other sites that do things semi-automatic from hotwallet, sort of like exchanges do. Meaning, they collect all the requests for a fixed period, say like 5 minutes, and then complete them all in batch transactions. I don't mind this at all to be honest, as it saves some fees for the site, and probably also for the users. It can also be that some sites just don't want to have the hotwallet as a security measure. I don't think manual withdrawals is really such a bad thing for regular players. It's not like I withdraw every day.

There are so many options now, it's not that hard to find that perfect combination for anyone.  There are more multi game sites than there used to be.  Crypto Black Jack, Roullete and Baccarat was rare, but its not too hard to find now.  Min amount to withdraw  varies, I like it very low, not six dollar plus minimum, and its not hard to find out for any site without making a deposit.  Like a busy friendly chat, sure theres like five sites like that, want betting only with little chat action, sure there are sites like that too.  I like tiny withdraw limits, low fees, fast dice, and no faucet.  But there was a time when I did like a faucet, so I played at a a site with faucet and leveling and super active chat.  There is one script package that a few sites are based on that I am a real fan of, it has over six games, roullete and black jack, and has a very outdated simple look, but the betting mechanism is very good, and I like old school look.

Dice is the easier game to play as I know. We don't need to do analysis, there are a bunch of sets we can choose to try our luck, from 0.01% - 98% win of chance. And the last one is, we can play it at any time, no need to wait for an event to occur.

The first and the foremost important thing when choosing a gambling platform is to look for their trust rating. You don't want to be gambling on a platform with no trustworthiness. Those are the one that are usually rigged and people always ends up losing. Next look for dice casino with a friendly user interface. Interface matters. You don't want to gamble in a site that is extremely laggy. Also make sure that the site has huge enough bank roll and that smaller withdrawals are instant. Look for sites that has a community with features for chatting as its for fun to chat and gamble. You can try crypto-games. They have all the features I have mentioned  Smiley.

And how important is for you the Max Profit On roll? I've noticed that these values can differ significantly across the market.

The most important thing we see from the site dice is reputation. Because sites with good reputations are sure to guarantee that the funds we have will not disappear (without us playing) this is the main factor that underlies some people to choose a particular site to play their funds

That is the reason why a lot of gamblers online don't really move to other sites that easily

In the past, there are a lot of gamblers and I asked my friend that put his virtual items on some betting sites to bet and earn money or virtual items too, why do you stick to that sites? There are a lot of them. He just smiled at me and said that, "I've used to it, besides I did not experience anything that would make me go to other sites". People are really sticking to sites, things or services that they are used to. Like my  mom always say, it is proven and tested that is the reason she would never try other things except that.
