On my perspective these two ranks still the same level when it comes to forum. How did I said that? Firstly, the rank here shows how the members of the forum has been categorized in the hierarchy of a system. If you are a newbie or junior member you are considered beginners. Well that's a fsct. But the IQ. of different members here are totally different as well, there are newbie account or junior rank that has more knowledge on blockchain and other tech compared to higher ranking members.

I know some will agree and diaagree but what I mentioned are facts that the forum should adopt as well. Those who got demoted from Junior to newbie, dont keep your frustration inside the box and show the higher ranks that even newbie can play a significant role here. What I mean significant is  be thorough when posting and not just a post just for requirement for a bounty. You can do even more.

You talk like there is some sort of battle for supremacy in here.... Hey c'mon this is a forum, and the last time I checked the dictionary it means"A place for discussion",there is no contest as of who has more knowledge or who's knowledge is dawning..
All you ought to do in here is discuss about cryptocurrency, and as is the case in most helpful discussions, you learn, and since this decentralized system is profitable, you invariably earn at the end.
Be it newbie,jr member, snr member, hero or legendary member, everyone is here is to discuss and learn about cryptocurrency

Whats your point? Bitcointalk ranks was never a measure of one's knowledge and intelligence anyway. There's definitely a few Newbies and Jr members that has decent knowledge on bitcoin/crypto, but those few gets to higher ranks faster due to them receiving more merits than most newbies. The others though? Nope. Complaining is all they do.

Yes you are right, there is really no difference between these ranks. But this is a path that must pass itself. Top to bottom. This way I passed and you should go if you are really interested in getting useful information about bitcoin. After all, this forum is a communication with people who really know a lot. On news sites you will not learn much and YouTube will not help you in all matters. And this forum is viewed by millions of people. And these people like you started with such a small step. You should not be afraid of the new rules. If you really will aim not a money but explore, that will help you, but if you are still able to give advice to others, it increases the chances of your growth and credibility on the forum. And of course it will bring you merit and high rank.

Lower rank doesn't equate beginner in cryptocurrency
Higher rank doesn't equate veteran
And hell, a lot of users ranked up just by posting whatever shit

I do get your point op, but most people here focus on the content more so even if you're a high ranking member, it won't make your shitpost reputable  or something.
What I'm trying to say is, you are respected or treated based on how you act or should I say, on how you post?

those with IQ should be capable to quickly contribute enough to gain a high rank it'd seem like,
newbie is a good seperator from people who creates new accounts for the sole purpose of spamming for bounties!

New members are just what the description says - members who are new to the forum. Of course there will be a wide range of skills and ability amongst them. The unfortunate situation at the moment is that Bitcon Talk is being pushed as an income source for the inadequate, and that is what is polluting the boards. Members who dropped from junior to newbie are not new members, they are usually spambies. Given some application and restraint, the competent amongst them will soon move up through the ranks, but it will require a change in their mindset, and their approach to Bitcoin Talk.

I disabled Fit to Talk registrations because of applications by non-member spammers. Click here to send me a PM if you would like to join.

Desperate + frustration = complaining newbies

By the new rule, there are some newbies that are complaining.

Why they don't use their effort to make a better and quality post instead of making quality complaint.
I'm demoted too, but i think i deserve when i see my post before, I've made some shitpost.

The new rule is an eye opener for me. Just do the same way too. To the newbies that are complaning, just improve your post.
Complaining is not the solution.

Alright I know where are you coming from, you merely thought that higher ranks are more supreme here and newbies are being belittle, it isn't true. Ranks isn't the measurement here, as long as you contributed something meaningful and useful then you won't be looking down by people. It's just that mostly of the newbies were spammers and so you guys felt degraded by your ranks.

And the good news is those who have a good sense of knowledge isn't newbie anymore, they've been merited and ranked up smoothly.
