ARE POLITICIANS AND RELIGIOUS LEADERS HELPING THE WORLD?

In most parts of the world, politicians and religious are given special powers and authorities to ensure the smooth running of the various nations of the world. These special authority is usually entrusted to these leaders through special circumstances such as elections and sometimes through appointments. As it is usually demanded, they are mandated to run the various sectors of the economy and sure that there is smooth development in the particular society where they are placed.

In most societies, politicians and religious leaders are causing more harm than good. The activities of most religious leaders and politicians has led people to poverty. In most parts of the world, the people who struggle for power are mostly politicians and religious leaders. We need to be watchful of such dishonest behaviour of religious leaders and politicians so we can ensure peace in the world.
Politics and religion has deceived the  world for a very long time now. The two should never be trusted, we need to be cautious so we don't follow the bad or negative influences that politics and religion has on the larger society. I believe most of the problems the world is going through at the moment is as a result of poor governance from politicians and the wayward teachings of religion.

Politics and religion remains two main causes of setbacks in our contemporary society
  As plato put it"Religion is the opium of the masses",religious leaders most times instead of praying for their members,prey on their gullibility and feed them with so much lies and hatred for non-believers or atheist,most people who believe in religion see non-believer as the cause of problems and menace to society,but that is so wrong,this brings discord,disagreement and lack of togetherness...
  Bad politics has also played a huge role in destroying the peace and security in societies today,politics is now a sort of strive for power,and a means to amass wealth,politicians are now inattentive to the yearnings of teeming population..

As an example, I think politicians in my country are the worst because they always try to climb up their political ladder just by misleading the people but not in merit. When there are any misunderstandings between two religious parties happened, they eventually show up and act as their only saver and they put additional fire instead of solving the problem. Then only they can get more votes from the people when there is an election. They don't care about the people at all.  Some of the religious leaders also now becoming the puppets of the political leaders and they are also giving supportive statements for media about the political agendas just blindly without thinking whether those policies are actually benefited to our society or not. This is the pathetic situation in our country these days. People also didn't see this harsh reality, but they just blindly followed the big names and the reputation of politicians. Sometimes I didn't see any difference between those politicians and the religious leaders because both of them misleading the people in order to retain their power.
