AA link plenty of garbage + only ref airdrops. And once i even experienced unverified airdrop (that's rare by the way).

You will change after a while. I haven't find, at the moment a truely verified telegram channel that i am pleased with. I manage my own channel but it's in french so i would suggest this website for your research: https://airdropers.io/ (it's the one i "trust" the most in english).

I totally agree with you. Bounties are far more efficient (but it needs precautions with Twitter + Facebook). Keep in mind that you will need to take time to find valuable bounties, ones that ICO has good chances to success (and i would suggest to follow max 3 bounties at the same time). So you will need some background to chose which you will participate in. There are also bounties that offer an airdrop, it's good to combine both

By the way we are still on bear market so it's a bad time for ICO's. Airdrops aren't useless, but don't think you will get rich with those They are some exceptions like HYDRO (hydrogen), ONT who led to a serious payout!

I really missed out of the ONT airdrop, learnt they canceled their ICO and went airdrop instead, but I was lucky to have taken part in hydro, such projects and airdrops usually come in rarely, Bounties are better just that they require daily task that take long to complete unlike airdrop that is just a one time off

To answer your question in steps:

1 An airdrop is when coins/tokens are distributed freely (you can participate by following the instructions given by the coin/token)
2 there are free websites/ twitter pages that share all airdrops
3 When participating in an airdrop in case of tokens, you need to give your Ethereum address so that you can receive the tokens. When received you can either send them to an exchange or hold them.
4 You should never send Ethereum to get an airdrop, those are scam most of the time. So if you are asked to send ethereum before receiving an airdrop you know it is a scam.

I believe participating in airdrop this days doesn't worth it, they are time wasting, you will just end up having a lot of shit coins that hardly worth 0.01$ in your wallet. The best you can do is to search and look for a better bounty and participate if the bounty has also airdrop its cool.

There still some that is worth the effort, but it's difficult to get one,  I believe in airdrops the makes you carry out some task, it's in form of bounty anyway, but you are paid every weekend.

1. free tokens distributed by a new project to create interest and attention often linked to tasks like joining telegram and following on twitter
2. You sign up and complete the tasks.
3. Depends on the project. Is it a pure currency function or is other functionality linked to the token?
4. Projects dropping 70% or more might later not have much left to actual investors. Do the same checks you would do before participating in a
    regular ICO. Dont spread your information to freely and never forward your private key.

Today, participating in airdrops is not as profitable as it was a year ago. Perhaps you are more suitable to participate in the bounty. I'm sure you will find the type of bounty that suits you.
