Scammers are in any field. So everything in this world is a scam? A fork (for eating Grin) can be killed. Forbidding forks? Fraud is committed to people, not bitcoin.

I think there should be more articles like this. There are people who are looking for quick buck and big returns and do not do their due diligence. Also people are just bad when it comes to learning from others mistakes. Articles like this help to increase the awareness, and decrease the chance of these scammers getting any more money. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, of course. There are scams everywhere there is a possibility to scam. But, as we are here on a crypto forum, we should be talking about the scams that are about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I think it is important we educate people who are new and do not know all these scams etc.

I have never been scamed but I know that people are very naive and they will beleive everything you tell them or show them, especialy if they think they might get or earn something in a easy way.
Despite so huge number of scams they still are not cautios and suspicious enough. We need more awareness and education campaigns, ignorance is exactly something that scamers are counting on.
Don't ever forget, if something is too good to be true, it isn't!

i think a big part of this is because there are a lot of kids around in cryptocurrency market. for example with all the free giveaways of small amounts such as "bounties" and "airdrops" a lot of kids were introduced to this market. then they eventually want more money but they don't know how to do it so they fall for these scams which are obvious to us but maybe not to them.

The reason behind Bitcoin or any scam is scammers think that scamming is the easiest way to earn money. But, in the fact, (most) legitimate ways are much easier than scamming. So, why aren't scammers thought to waste their scammy creative mind to build something legitimate? As I feel, bad karma.

if you take a closer look at this issue of sca, apart from the fact that the scammer presents his or her case so coordinated and in a way that is confident enough to have convinced his/her victim, the victims most times have some element of greed in them too. remember that it was not hacking but scamming. so, a little of greed in the victim has made the victim to get scammed

Indeed, greed is driving people to look for more and more opportunities to get easy money and profit, same time not doing any research. That's why scammers scam, they know someone will take the bait.

I've never got scammed, but I remember I guy that was selling a strange Fiverr gig.
The Fiverr gig was "Send me 300 USD worth of bitcoins and I will return you 380 USD after 2 months".
A friend of mine sent bitcoins for 400 USD to that scammer, and the scammer never replied.

In my opinion it is natural that in the cryptocurrency world there is fraud, it is the act of irresponsible people and wants to find even more profits easily. For this reason, it would be better for us to be more careful when investing in the crypto world so that we are prevented from acting irresponsibly. We should also learn more about the crypto world before we start investing.

It's a very old scam and not so new for people involved in cryptocurrency. The sad part is people who fail in the trap, not sure who is to blame here, the scammer or the people scammed. There is an interview online about this scammer, he claimed to make $50,000 daily and hired a dozen of guys to work for him

Well after reading the article, It is really obvious that the sound of a 5000 BTC giveaway was so good to be true that even you would surely notice how obvious that kind of offer is a scam, But I guess there are still some people bite the offer because they are really desperate with the situation that this is their opportunity to get something this big, And second is the name of a well known exchange site was brought up and sure more people would take this to consideration, I really think this is not Binance doing and their reputation is really at stake here.

Scams can not be avoided. Everywhere there is a scam even outside the crypto currency community. It is our job to secure our own belongings before someone do something bad about it.

I think 60% of the users on this forum has been scammed at least once. I have seen lot of scams in the casino environment, when is about get money people can be really creative.

I have been scammed by users asking for loans and then running away, and i have been scammed by casinos who decide to keep my money and block my withdrawals.

Some years ago the biggest bitcoin scams was based on Ponzi, now days we don't see much ponzi, but we see lot of ICO's ending in scam. So, let's play it smart and be careful.
