Just read this article, a nice piece about Bitcoin scams with an example - http://cryptofinance24.com/how-not-to-scam-people-p428-171.htm
The example story about one scam there is just hilarious. The scam is so bad, but people still fall for it  Huh Huh Huh

So, have you ever got scammed, or know some good stories to share with others to help them learn from others mistakes?
Very difficult to avoid fraud. nowadays there are scams everywhere even outside the crypto currency community. It is our duty to be more careful about our own assets before someone does something bad about them.

I think 60% of the users on this forum has been scammed at least once. I have seen lot of scams in the casino environment, when is about get money people can be really creative.

I have been scammed by users asking for loans and then running away, and i have been scammed by casinos who decide to keep my money and block my withdrawals.

Some years ago the biggest bitcoin scams was based on Ponzi, now days we don't see much ponzi, but we see lot of ICO's ending in scam. So, let's play it smart and be careful.
fraud is happening with the development of time, whatever is now the trend that will be used as fraudulent land, at that time ponzi is very trendy and fraudsters go around looking for prey behind the scenes of ponzi, and the current trend is ico's investment
they also roam mines a lot with popular and convincing ico themes

How these scammer can even sleep and not be afraid of karma catching them eventually?

Anyways.. keep your eyes open and before sending money to someone, know exactly for what you are sending the money for and check their background.

Not all people believe in karma and obviously not the scammers.
They will be around as long as there are people who are falling to their schemes.

We cannot deny the fact that the delusion of money can make us people blind and that's the reason why most of us are end up into a scam because some projects offered like that and make us also interested even though it is actually a scam.

Just saw this on Twitter - https://twitter.com/DougPolkPoker/status/1051541408123838464

Hilarious, but most likely understandable only if you know some poker. Anyways, very funny. This shows that there are a lot of people who pretend to be someone else to get your money. Stay safe!

Nothing ventured nothing gained, right? Well I guess I'm a bit too cautious. In my case it's nothing ventured nothing scammed. And to tell you the truth it's not exactly something to be proud of, but I suppose I'll get the courage one day.

This is up to us to share this type of content and spread the word. Only this way we can stop scammers, or at least make it hard for them to earn a living from scamming others.

There are various stories about bitcoin related scam issues. Well this one we ought to be very careful about some fraudster hit me up on a social media app asking me to help withdraw bitcoin for him and sent me a link to a fake, fraudulent exchange which anytime I try to withdraw it demands for 0.01 bitcoin. Then I had registered this exchange with an active wallet I would have gotten duped.
So it's imperative for us to be careful

Just read about this one https://ethereumworldnews.com/ethereum-android-scam-swindle/

Quoting article:
"The app claims to sell “just an Ethereum” for 335 Euros, or approximately $100 over the current value of a single ETH token. While the exorbitant price would be somewhat of a scam in itself if that app actually provided users with one ETH, it turns out that users who purchased the “Ethereum” app got nothing but the classic Ethereum logo, with all of its sharp vectors, minimalistic features, and dark aesthetics.

What’s even more bizarre is that in the app’s over a one-year lifespan, it has garnered over 100+ installs from unsuspecting users, racking up a minimum of $39,000 in the process."

I really like Telegram, but it's true that everyone shoud be very carefully there. Scammers are really doing everything to get your money and first rule on Telegram would be not so send money anywhere. Especially if someone PMs you to send money this is obvious it's a scammer.
Some scammers also impersonate admins of ICOs, so always check their username and if someone PMs you and say he is an admin of an ICO it's almost 100% a scammer.
