I really like Telegram, but it's true that everyone shoud be very carefully there. Scammers are really doing everything to get your money and first rule on Telegram would be not so send money anywhere. Especially if someone PMs you to send money this is obvious it's a scammer.
Some scammers also impersonate admins of ICOs, so always check their username and if someone PMs you and say he is an admin of an ICO it's almost 100% a scammer.

Yea, that's true. It is easy to act like someone you are not on Telegram. Same on Twitter. Before sending someone money, make sure they are the someone they say they are  Wink

We all have fraudsters around us, and in bitcoins, there are more, because it's so attractive, giving them a high profitability. So, be careful about the island and have high vigilance

yes, and you know what else helps the cause? - you can stay anonymous..

Very few people really understand bitcoin scam. This makes it easier to make false promises and unusual moves without getting caught. Moreover, It’s mostly anonymous. It’s a lot easier for scammers to cover their tracks. Once bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies have been stolen, they are probably never coming back to their rightful owners. In addition,It’s largely unregulated. There are ways for scammers to steal bitcoin without breaking the law, and there are few authorities that will ever go after them.

I'm not sure if a scam could ever be funny, particularly if I lost money in it.  Angry But I agree we can enjoy reading posts about people who got scammed because we can learn a lot from such stories. Out of every bad thing something good can come if we are positive. I truly believe that. I found the De Niro movie 'Wizard of Lies' to be chilling. It was a compelling movie, not easy to watch but you couldn't leave it. It was about a scammer, but you ended up feeling sorry for him in a way. It wasn't about crypto currency, but after all, money is money and scams are scams. Whatever the currency.

First of all, I believe that everyone is responsible for themselves and you need to figure out where you are investing money and understand the consequences.

What i dont get, are those people who actually try to copy youtubers or something to get money. how can those be succesful with it? They are not able to verify anything. You see it in many channels, someone join -- saying: Greate Project, im a youtuber with 100k subscriber and stuff.

Yeah, you might think so, but still there are plenty of people who fall for it. I mean, a supposedly famous person asks you for some money, you will give it to them  Cheesy

Scammers can fool us anywhere, so you have to be very careful. Unfortunately, virtual wallets and, in general, systems are also easier to open, therefore you cannot be 100% sure of them

So bad that some people still fall in this kind of scam and also in scam in general. They should search before and search again and only if they are 100% sure that the site where send coins "money" are legit. Also people should protect when access the internet and put an antivirus on their PC and on mobile phone and never click or access suspicous links received on email or by SMS.

Just read this article, a nice piece about Bitcoin scams with an example - http://cryptofinance24.com/how-not-to-scam-people-p428-171.htm
The example story about one scam there is just hilarious. The scam is so bad, but people still fall for it  Huh Huh Huh

So, have you ever got scammed, or know some good stories to share with others to help them learn from others mistakes?
The truth is that bitcoin are everywhere around us. The scam is really bad but because of greed, people still fall for it and they are not alert to it.

Do you want to say that Bitcoin is a scam? I think Bitcoin is not a scam, rather than another tool that can and is used by scammers.

I got scammed once. It wasn't a big amount, but about 100 USD. It was a cloud mining scheme. I was a noob as well at this time and didn't do enough research about the company and the project. Looking back there were some red flags, but I couldn't notice them. Biggest of them was that there were already some scam accusations on the internet about them. Wish I had googled them. They are not active anymore, at least not with this project. Maybe they have started new one, who knows. So, keep your eyes opened and do your homework, check the backgrounds of people who are managing the project and so on.
