It is really difficult to unite ans provide a global currency since we do havw different government system. It impossible on many country such as the third ones because of low back up funds, aside there will be economy imbalance if a global currency would be implemented. Blockchain technology is a great system for financing however we will be needing a great, fast and wide network for the world.
That's certainly true, mate. However, I believe that as time goes by, the Internet would be accessible to any country in the world. This would probably become achieved by using satellites which distribute the internet to diverse areas worldwide. Once this is achieved, then all countries could get access to blockchain technology, enabling a cashless society in the future. At some point, they would come to an agreement, as they devise laws for the benefit of all. When all the world's governments become united into a single global government, then you could expect a "One World Currency" to become a reality soon. One thing for sure, is that Blockchain technology has been overhyped. As such, it wouldn't be surprising if this "One World Currency" would be launched in a Blockchain (either Public/Permission-less or Private/Permissioned). Therefore, the tech provides many benefits that are too hard to ignore for world governments such as transparency, immutability, security, lower costs, faster speeds, and more. Just my thoughts

Have you ever heard about the "One World Currency" that will be used in the New World Order? Well, it's believed that such currency may be powered by a blockchain which is in the hands of Banks and Governments worldwide. As this technology has been proven to provide borderless payments in a fast and cheap way, it's the perfect way to upgrade the existing monetary system into one that's highly efficient, transparent, and controllable by the world's authorities. In addition, blockchain not only works for tracking money, but also property, supply chains, and more. As such, there could exist a global currency in the future which makes use of Bitcoin's blockchain technology. After all, the latest buzz has been all about blockchain, and banks, as well as governments, have become interested in it. Before we know it, everything will be digitalized as our personal, financial, and medical information will be stored in a microchip and verified by one global blockchain network. What are your thoughts? This is something like Ripple as it is a centralized digital money based on blockchain technology. I don't think if cryptocurrency enthusiasts, traders and investors will be adopting such one world currency because all we want here is decentralization since we are talking about our privacy with our assets. I think one world currency is only good to be used for daily basis and not as an investment purposes.

in my opinion that could happen. currently the global currency has been used by various countries namely the United States dollar. if the dollar or other global currency wants to be supported by blockchain technology then the currency must be converted into digital currencies like crypto currencies in general. because blockchain technology is a technology that is not centralized on one server or the transaction does not involve third parties. so the transaction is controlled by the user of the currency.

A "one world currency" is inevitable (there is a colossal project working on this)and given how the digitization of life itself is making centralized structures such as countries and banks less important, it will not be controlled or backed by them, but by the blockchain. They will eventually be unimportant. I think it would be a nightmare if the world's single currency, and subsequently our digital life, was controlled by corporations and governments. They would exploit everyone.
I really believe that the world can't deal with a global currency all together. There are politics all around the world that changes everyday and the relations with each country changes in between them, one day two countries are allies and another day they are putting economic pressure on each other, unfortunately the "wars" of these days are not done by weapons but it is done via economic regulations, now it is great that people are not dying anymore because of the wars that is an improvement however there are a lot of poor people because the greedy wants more money for themselves and punish the poor for not doing what they ordered them to do. This causes whole nations to crumble because of one bad move by politicians of that country. Global currency would mean countries that want to punish other countries would have to end up using the same currency and that wouldn't work that well. Look at what happened with euro, germany is doing great but greece is not doing so well (historically never did) and while germans are increasing the value of euro the greeks are dropping the value and that hurts the german public for no reason at all, why would anyone want to get that to whole globe when europes doesn't work properly.

Moreover, cryptocurrencies is growing more which is a sign of progress and hopefully this can be discussed by some politicians that support the technology.

Blockchain technology can be use for any business related data storage , so for a global currency it can be powered by this blockchain technology , this technology is good for data referrences because those data stored in this blockchain can not be altered once stored so this will be great for transparency in the business world and cryptocurrency.

What are your thoughts? Why are you bringing this topic, are you member of the illuminati or what? There are better topics to discuss to discuss than this and this sounds stupid to me. Nobody is talking about one world currency this time and even from the way things are going the world, you don’t need anyone to tell you that the world is not ready for that rubbish. Even if it’s going to happen, it will take a lot of centuries and you will be gone by then. Having one world currency doesn’t make you rich and you will still remain poor, neither does Bitcoin make you rich.

You do have a point there, mate. However, I believe that at some point in the future, governments worldwide would come up to an agreement as they work together to solve the world's problems. When universal laws are devised, then everything would behave like a single country no matter the region or area you're located at. This would take some time, as the world is slowly shifting to the digital sector. When globalization takes effect, and technology advances to a certain degree, then expect for a "One World Currency" to become a reality in the future. Right now, Blockchain technology is still in its infancy. At the same time, Internet access is not available to every region of the world. As such, I believe that some time is needed for a complete transition to everything digital. Then, all your personal, financial, and medical information would be stored in a global blockchain which proves their authenticity. The same way, food supplies would be tracked via the use of blockchain technology for complete transparency. And last by not least, a world currency would make use of this technology to give governments the control they need among their citizens. Here, they would be able to track every transaction made on the global ledger and restrict or censor access to someone's money in case they see anything suspicious. The New World Order would effectively be achieved this way, as everything would be trackable via Blockchain technology. There will be no privacy, as surveillance would become massive by then, and AI takes controls of decisions without the need for human intervention. Therefore, Blockchain technology would be ideal for not just a "One World Currency" to take effect, but also for nearly everything we've been accustomed to in our lives such as our personal, financial, and medical information. Just my opinion

I 'm not sure that there will exist a global currency in the world , but I think blockchain will play an important role in our life in the future. Nowadays , blockchain is enormously applied in finance ,however, to make every country have the same curerncy such as bitcoin is really a hard task. Because we need to make may effort to regulate both inside and outside to make it come true

It could. And bitcoin is already doing it, as it exists without any borders or sovereign 'issuer'.
But I think what you're trying to explore here is something like a centrally issued, one world currency, like the Phoenix which is mentioned by the economist article many many years ago. In that case, yes, it could happen with blockchain as well, but it wouldn't really pose any benefits in my opinion.
If a crypto is not decentralised then there is really no point in using it instead of any other form of electronic banking with fiat. There could be benefits for the authority in terms of ease of management and control over the entire currency supply, as well as tracking, but these benefits are limited to them. I'd much rather use bitcoin and other decentralised cryptocurrencies which are already quite globally accepted.
Blockchain is increasing now days and people are taking to much interest to open an account there. Mostly people are now depended and believe on blockchain more than there banks.

In my opinion about in bitcoin it is already a global currency, due to in some other country it has been regulated as their secondary mode of payment. I know many of us here knows that Japan doing this things for almost a months after their declaration on bitcoin legalization. Not only that even in the Asian country also. then, whether bitcoin or crypto they are both powered by the blockchain because without it they are also both nothing or useless too.

Don't you think the one world currency is already formed and existing? Don't you think bitcoin could be the one world currency we are hoping and expecting? the misery behind the bitcoin makes me think bitcoin might the one crypto currency the whole world would later adopt in the future. just my opinion.

Bitcoin is the global and world wide currency and every one use it more than there fiat currency where block chain used to store it .it maybe possible that Blockchain would be the future of banks.

Bitcoin may have become a popular cryptocurrency worldwide. However, it cannot be considered as a global currency since there are specific areas of the world where the Internet is inaccessible. In addition, Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency which doesn't fit the likes of banks and governments worldwide, because they cannot control it whatsoever. For a global currency to become practical and highly controllable by governments worldwide, it would need to be as centralized as possible. With the advent of blockchain technology, this is possible, as we've seen it with Ripple (XRP). As governments carefully research this new technology, they could explore the many benefits a blockchain provides such as unparalleled security, transparency, and low costs. This would prove to be perfect for a centralized global currency, since every transaction could be trackable. No matter if it's transfers of ownership, real estate, certificates of birth/death, and more, the blockchain could easily verify the authenticity of everything, and provide transparency to the government. Before we know it, a single unified currency would take place, allowing everyone no matter the location to transact in the free world. Imagine being able to pay with the same currency anywhere in the world by just using an implant. At first, it may look convenient for the average user, but as governments use the latest technologies to track and control someone's finances, it’ll be terrifying. Effectively, this could eliminate privacy once and for all, since everything would be tracked by the blockchain and surveilled by AI. Which in turn, brings the New World Order. Just my opinion

The governments know this already, they have advisors left and right that know of this but why don't they use it? Because it exposes them and airs our their dirty laundry to their constituents and know that they're actually corrupt as f*ck. That or banks pressures them to turn a blind eye so they could rip off people more.

You do have a point there, mate. Blockchain technology exposes their actions since it's transparent. However, as we've seen with other cryptocurrency projects, blockchain can become private or obfuscated as well. With the use of Zero Knowledge Proofs or Confidential Transactions, sensitive transaction information can become obfuscated from prying eyes. Which gives the governments a greater advantage over fiat, IMO, since it'll be hard to track down and trace their activities on the blockchain. The way I see it, is that a global currency powered by the blockchain, would make use of privacy technologies for the sole use of governments, while for the rest of the people, it would remain as transparent as possible to help fight criminal activity. Because of the many benefits a blockchain provides such as transparency, privacy, security, and lower operation costs, it'll be too hard to ignore for any government. Therefore, a global currency powered by the blockchain could become into effect within the not-so-distant future. It's only a matter of question which currency it will be whenever it's the US Dollar, the Euro, the Yen, or any other Fiat currency. Just my thoughts

In my thoughts , i think we need more learned about this because it is not easy and its risky .Why , because you didn`t sure if this is secure or safe. But like you said is very helpful if you know how to use this in your own risk and manage your own . I like the word fast and cheap transaction that offer in every blockchain. But we still need a paper money because this is important also in the wet market and also the non civilized country.

It is more likely that one of the cryptocurrency might be the currency that will be used in financial trnsactions all over the world. But, it not known up to now which coin will that be. As of now, cryptocurrency coins are still racing towards adoption. As of now, developers are working hard for this.
