Forum Expansion

I would like to take this opportunity to ask everybody here if the forum will be expanded what will you suggest to add sections, groupings or sub-groupings of topics?

I know it is not still time for this but I am only trying to foresee the possibilities for the forum. I am eager to know if this is possible for the members to stay and hook up in the forum through the add ups.

Here is my suggestion:

Entertainment section - For sure a video game sideline for the forum would be good but it will consume more space so it would need more server for the forum. This will also stop the possible spam activities and others will focus on playing games instead.

Gambling Section: A real gambling activities which forum should hold. It is another way to have a good profit for the forum and I am pretty sure that there will be more company to offer their service on this and the forum should benefit also.

VIP section -  This section is not for all and should provide a privacy to all VIP members for them to enjoy their discussions in private. To avoid also getting annoyed on public discussions which VIP do not want to see and waste their time on it. I am pretty sure that there are many members here with rank account will going to apply for this VIP section.

Local Boards - Add more local boards and should be in one section to display all the possible local boards to be included.

Donations and other group of foundations section - We should open also to help other people like in those who are being affected with natural disasters. Foundations could help with this by opening up a section for them. We should consider to invite legit foundations that will truly help people.

All of this are not really that necessary but if other members will agree with this then I will appreciate it. I have seen that there are other forums as well for cryptocurrency but I am not fan of them. Bitcontalk.org forum is far more better and thus I would like for bitcointalk.org to continue on the improvements. Take a look at Nokia company they were pioneering when it comes to mobile phones in those early times for it but for now they are being left behind. As a member of the forum I would like to see some improvements or even monopolize other forums as well. (RUDE)

Note: I will accept harsh comments with this one. I know we could not decide for it but the admin could. I will lock this thread if found this post is not necessary for this section.

- I can't personally say we need an entertainment section, and this would fit into the off topic section as it has nothing to do with cryptocurrency.

- I don't know if I would refer to the serious discussionboard as a VIP section, but there is a level of restrictions there. This can of course be considered by the mods.

If you have a country or region with a huge community, you can always petition to have a local board created.

There is an option to donate to the forum at the top menu option. But none for donations to regions or places hit by disasters. The team can of course consider it.

I don't know if an expansion cause most users currently hardly utilize the full boards and child boards, and post in inappropriate sections. We might need to fully explore our environment before expanding.

Not all members had the interest to all sections on this forum like for example I am not interested to take part on mining discussion since I am not mining Bitcoin or other crypto. So? I must leave mining section for the miners. Exploring in other sections would be good but it does not mean that it could be beneficial for we have differences in our interest.

Anyway, as I said that only admins could decide for this and what is good for them will be good also for us. They run this forum so they got more knowledge than us who were members and part of this forum.

We have Important Announcements, where admins/Global Moderator/VIP can post in that section.

There are a lot of local boards, and I do not think we need more.

I like the idea, but there are a lot of those campaigns being held in the Collectibles/Games and rounds section.

If there are a lot of health discussions, creating boards will not be difficult.

Entertainment section

There is already a section "Off-Topic" for discussing games and other stuffs that are not related to cryptocurrency. Moreover this is a crypto forum. We come here only for learning and discussing crypto related stuffs. There are a lot more forums out there for other purposes. This is not a generalized discussion forum to have a board for each and every thing we encounter in our life. Gaining activity for no reasons seems to be common here. If such a board is created it would get trashed similar to the Off Topic Board. This won't cause the reduction of spam rather it would increase on a larger scale.

Gambling Section

Have you even checked out all the boards of this forum? If you had checked, you would have seen a dedicated Gambling Board for Gambling Discussion to take place. Good profit? The forum already has lots of reserves which will keep the forum running without losses for long time. Forum ads, 10Btc and 50Btc Donations which were made long back is still helping the forum as said by theymos.

VIP section

There is a separate board for Donators to discuss which cannot be accessed or seen by normal users like us unless we donate 10Btc to the forum.

Local Boards

There are already a lot of ton of local boards. Aren't you one among the boards? If you need a separate board, you can always request for it here in Meta.

All the boards you requested are already present here. If you have already gone through the forum you would have not created this topic.

Bitcontalk.org forum is far more better and thus I would like for bitcointalk.org to continue on the improvement. As a member of the forum I would like to see some improvements or even monopolize other forums as well.

Patiently wait for the new forum software till 2020-2021. That would be one of the most expensive discussion forum ever developed with a budget of 6900-10000 Btc (Though I am not pretty sure) and almost 6+ years in development. I assume the final product would be jaw-dropping when it goes live. If you had been actively watching the development, you would have seen the beta version which was live for a couple of months.

I was not expecting that the admin has taken the step ahead for cryptocurrency discussions! The people here are realy that smart.
