Bitcoin is indepedent currency and also can consider as digital asset or digital currency but such as webmoney paypal is only payment prossesor which mean the currency for each transactions still use other currency such as dollar or euro so i think both of them have different function but if you mean paypal users will switch over to bitcoin then i think it will possibly happened but to eliminate paypal i think it won't be happened at least in the near future

Bitcoin is really popular but Paypal has its own use and has its own benefits to the people, bitcoin and Paypal have their differences so I don't think Paypal will end because of bitcoin, that is too impossible to happen because a lot of people are using Paypal also and at the same time we can use bitcoin and Paypal, it is better to have the two.

Yes, it is always better to use both. Actually bitcoins are decentralised whereas PayPal supports the centralised currencies like USD, AUR, etc. PayPal can be used to purchase bitcoins or sell them. PayPal has entirely different features and compositions than bitcoins.

Also i think that paypal is already been accepted by several countries as a mean of payment and PayPal wallet makes it much easier to send or recieve fiat currencies digitally. PayPal is a digital form of centralised currencies. Some features can be relatively be similar for bitcoins and PayPal but not that they run on a same phenomenon.

An individual can use paypal for centralised funds and bitcoins for decentralised ones. They both can operate similarly and also PayPal makes converting bitcoins into fiat much easier. Also we can directly send the funds from our PayPal wallet to our bank easily without any issue.

Actually bitcoin also has the same role in online payment methods. The difference is that bitcoin also functions as electronic money that can be used on certain sites. The main function of bitcoin is crypto currency that is used as an online payment tool. Bitcoin has its own currency symbol, namely BTC.

If we are marching towards globalism, then it a must we have money is universal. Fiat is not universal, so crypto will be the world's money. Bitcoin will always be around, but I think about ten or so crypto will survive that has specific verticals.

I really like the title thou i have some few words to say, it cannot be what it is, paypal is one of the means of transacting fiat money in exchange of cryptocurrency, there are so many ways on how to transact to other peer to peer and paypal is used also.

Cryptocurrency transaction is not always via blockchain address,  to clarify some point,  for example from my US dollar to your crypto,  escrow should have both wallet, paypal wallet and blockchain address wallet (any wallet)  if both crypto and usd is received by the escrow then transaction will be as smooth at ease.

I don't know, paypal is very good for dollar storage, and of course paypal is very reliable on the internet. I think, bitcoin will not be able to replace the position of paypal at this time, because so many people believe in paypal just as they believe in bitcoin.

In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?
Not possible yet.Bitcoin is popular and easy to use without restriction. But PayPal is secured and have physical existent. But Bitcoin Don't have any owner or don't have physical existent. Also it's hard to monitor bitcoin transaction. And also Government  is worried for tax.So right now its impossible.

Paypal partnered with Bitcoin. Now paypal has lost 57 million users

Bitcoin and Paypal dont actually need to be rivals. Paypal already incorporates several currencies into it, I'm sure adding a cryptocurrency into its exchange options wouldn't be that difficult. I think it would actually be a huge benefit for both, but in the end, Paypal will just adapt, as will the banks.

It’s bitcoin’s volatility that’s preventing it from becoming an official currency, right? But let’s say in the future, bitcoin becomes a legit digital currency we can use to exchange goods and services, then of course companies like PayPal would become obsolete. I mean, will you opt to pay for PayPal’s high fees instead of the cheaper and more efficient cryptocurrency transactions?

I dont think so people are scared about using their credit cards and debit cards over the PayPal. Doesnt seem to me the case at all. Because thing is, PayPal is fiat based and its very popular as compared to the bitcoin itself. The service is trusted one and can not be missed or forgotten so easily. Also their payment solution is now available world wide with no single store left out of its portal. This means it is not replaceable at all and things once set in the globe are not replaceable by any other system so quickly. Bitcoin is not even known to half of the population for sure and most of them are not willing to even try it out. So I barely doubt that it will replace it.

i think that pay pal in the best form now and crypto is doing it's own transactions and if crypto started every where then may people use this but pay pal is the old method and that is allowed in some countries and crypto can be used everywhere in the world.

Just the same way you should have expect any other altcoin to bring an end to bitcoin. paypal have been in existence since 1999 during the time of confinity before they finally have their initial public offering in 2002. todays millions of both offline and online business accept paypal through out the world. The her vast and strict regulations, it become dominant and even many more business are accepting it. there is nothing that is impossible but technically i do not think bitcoin can bring an end to paypal

I think no. People from regular web wallet companies in not stupid too. They'll just add some coins to wallets and you'll use this with fiats.

Yes Paypal I think will just add crypto in their currencies because paypal is open for innovations not like other like banks because paypal is an web wallet that supports FIAT and I think it will be good if they have crypto too.

I see what you mean but for me it is impossible that bring will bring an end to Paypal. From my point of view, of course, bitcoin is more useful and convenient, it is also well-known world wide but Paypal is more secure. Paypal is an established mode of payment recognized even by governments and banks. On the other hand, bitcoin is banned in some countries, people still need Paypal. To sum up, I don’t think Bitcoin will threat to Paypal even now or in the future.

I son't really get the comparison here. Bitcoin is more like a product that can be used in a system, while Paypal is a system on its own. Paypal can accommodate the use of cryptocurrencies or precisely Bitcoin for financial transactions, if the dim it fit and secure enough. So you should first of all identify basically what they are and what there nature is before you compare the two to each other. Unless maybe you're trying to say that if bitcoin gets integrated into paypal, will it bring paypal to an end because of Bitcoin's unstable market value

seeing the current development, I think paypal still remains in its position. well, like in general, bitcoin is really hard to guess. I believe that 2017 Bitcoin has exceeded paypal, but for this year it looks like paypal is back on par with bitcoin.
