In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

Even if this happens it will take a lot of time to happen in my opinion. I think that most of the people or buyers are already used to PayPal and thus use it for all their needs. Also, there is sufficient market for both of these to co-exist in my opinion.

Paypal partnered with Bitcoin. Now paypal has lost 57 million users

Are you retarded? Is this your site?
I'll add a quote so that people won't say that i'm calling you names for no reason.

Quote
It is advisable to withdraw your money from Paypal and Bitcoin because FBI will most likely raid paypal and Bitcoin and they will seize both of them for investigations for one year. Paypal had lost 25% of its users before the news came out that terror group ISIS's Bitcoin account has $3 million.

I do not think this can happen because too many use paypal. But I would be glad if that happens because I do not like paypal. a terrible support service. This could happen if bitcoin transactions become safer and much more faster.

I feel both PayPal and btc have got their own markets and own set of people using both the payment gateways for their necessary usage. PayPal exists in the market since several years and is more secure compared to btc in today's date hence legalised in most of the countries compared to btc. I feel btc has to be regulated to compare the standards with PayPal and further usage guidelines.

I don't think so. I some countries you just can't legally use BTC for transactions. And on the other hand, PayPal hasn't eliminated traditional bank transfers or Webmoney or Paypneer, for example. The will coexist and may be they will finally face the time when they will be forced to fught for the customers, so we'll all benefit

No, this is not the case. In fact Bitcoin and PayPal are not direct competition because these are two different things. Maybe will Bitcoin have some advantage because paying with Bitcoin is more convenient and more direct but PayPal would keep their customers.
Bitcoin is cryptocurrencies and payment method and PayPal is payment services that could also implement Bitcoin in their services so I don't see how Bitcoin could endanger PayPal.

that bitcoin and paypal will not be mutually connected to payment systems, but now many people prefer bitcoin rather than paypal, I think paypal will only lose competitiveness and that can happen.

No.

Paypal is a payment processor. Bitcoin is a currency. How come bitcoin can end this? It's like saying bitcoin will replaced fiat which is impossible even for a decades or centuries. Im a pure crypto enthusiast but thinking bitcoin will end fiat payment processors or the whole fiat is out of the reality. Even how strong crypto is, our optimistic mindset about how powerful bitcoin must not make us to think too much.

If Paypal will be shutdown, maybe that will be due to fraud, shit, violation of the law, end of business/retirement etc. or another fiat payment processor company takes the dominance in fiat payment system globally.

I really think the answer is no, Even though PayPal and the bitcoin network don’t work well together, There are easy steps you can buy bitcoin using your Paypal account and the two has a different view regarding of usefulness to each and every one of us, But regarding the matter that you can definitely use in buying bitcoin with Paypal I can say that the two will not gonna go on each other's throats because the two is a very different thing and if you had used the sites that can buy bitcoin using Paypal that process is unreversible so think twice before using it.

There is nothing to worry about which one will survive and die, Paypal and Bitcoin are very different in their usefulness principles, both have their own strengths and fields to perform their respective performance, this is a question that does not really occur, because it is not included in the same case, Paypal is always there because they have succeeded in making partnerships from various platforms to make payments, and Bitcoin is an old digital currency that many people use today as digital assets, both of which will shine in the future, lack of competence to overthrow each other, all this is a real public assessment of the facilities.

Paypal will continue and will service the people who are still satisfied with their service, but Bitcoin will replace Paypal for

those people who were failed by Paypal. People will not suddenly change their payment option, if they are satisfied with that

service, but when Paypal slip up (and believe me they do), then people will flock to Bitcoin. We saw this with Backpage when

credit cards stop payment to Backpage and also other failures.  Cool

probably not. mobile/online payments are only getting bigger and bigger---bitcoin has only a small slice of that market sector. companies like paypal, square, venmo and others continue to expand as retail point-of-sale moves away from cash (and to some extent traditional credit cards) and towards contactless payment systems.

also, think about it from a consumer perspective. if you have the choice between spending with credit cards tied to your paypal app, or spending BTC, which would you choose? rationally, i have incentive to spend the $$ (to get cash back + time to pay) and i also have incentive to hoard the BTC (because it's sound money---i expect the price to rise).

No it won't.
Paypal, I know it's hated by many because of their very strange behaviour, I know a lot of people lost a lot of money because of unexplained funds freezing etc.
But Paypal offers users unmatched security - by that I mean how easy is to get a refund from paypal.
You may say that it's also easy to get refund when paying by card - OK, maybe in most developed countries, but in my country it's a big, big hassle and it'll take like a month or even more. I think it's much easier with paypal.
What about bitcoin? What kind of customer protection does it offer? No protection at all. I know it's good from seller perspective, I know many people exploit refunds etc. but in less developed countries it's the other way round - a lot of sellers will sell you their shit and that's all, no after sale support at all, something breaks etc. - you're done.
For example in my country until very recently there was regulation about distance selling that forced sellers to offer cash on delivery payment option. If some online or catalogue shop wouldn't offer this kind of payment option you could sue them.
Someone could make BTC/ETH escrow service and this could be something that could compete with Paypal, especially Ethereum as it has smart contracts. Using smart contracts you could make it fair for both sellers and buyers.

Hmm, I have never given that a thought, but I see it possible by every means.
BTW,  PayPal is not available in all countries, but bitcoin has no limitation.
