Nice words that's a new word in the crypto vocabulary, so far in the past 7 years Bitcoin have not yet embarrassed us, but this is a very different year there are so many FUDS and so many bad news and restrictions that people are almost giving out investing and continue to sell their shares, but let's see what the remaining 3 months will give us.

We need to stay positive and like what OP said time to buckle up and wait for the bull to run stronger, let see if there's a lots of big investors to showed up
and start pumping the market, 3 months might be enough for the market to wake up and start rallying, it's better to hope for good thing to happen than be depressed and sell out with big losses.

We've seen small increases almost every week for the past few months, with the usual spike around the 7k's, yet these price movements are leading us into nothing, which means that they're nothing more than usual fluctuation and should not be taken as a sign that a massive upward is about to happen. We could see an increase in prices in the upcoming months, but it won't be because a bullish trend triggered a btc rally, it'll be because it's about time we see some upward movement after a long period of accumulation thanks to the bear market.

Well everybody is waiting for this bearish market to finally end. It took so long and since it is "Ber" months now, I know everybody is waiting for Santa to come / for bitcoin to rise. I've been thinking of doing mining in the later years, but I find it not that efficient, and the profit is too low. Thank you for this, I will again try to analyze how I can profit. Things on mining bitcoin is getting excited.

Yeah there's really no obvious reason to expect a bull run to end the year. The cryptospace has been relatively quiet besides the rumblings of a SEC ETF approval, so there isn't much to spur speculators into action. December being a strong month has been a trend for three years running though, if I remember correctly, so it will still be interesting to see if the month really has something to do with price movement.

As happy to hear that there are still a lot of optimists who strongly believe that this year, as in the past, it will be noticeable the price jump in a holiday period. I myself really would be happy if this happens, but anyway I am still remain with my opinion, that this year will not be repeated the last year scenario. mining and profitability of it is not that simple to call it profitable or not just based on a quick look at the prices. also it is not just bitcoin you can mine with ASICs, there is also altcoins which may be the reason why that first person franky quoted was talking about GPUs!
if you are interested in mining then start calculating everything. you can use one of those online calculators like https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators and try to do some speculation about the profit you may make. also know that it is changing. if you find it profitable now it may not be the same tomorrow. but also when mining altcoins you can always switch between them.

I think that is only because people are not spending as much as they do during summers. I think on winters people stay at home, go to work, watch movies and what not. Normally on summers or at least when the weather is great people go out, they go to cafes, go to vacations, go to places to meet with friends and even when watching a movie they go to cinemas.

During winters people just stay at home, which means less money spent. Hence Christmas and the bonus people are getting usually goes to investment and savings accounts. When they get into bitcoin those money start to pour into bitcoin and crypto.

We have been in this situation this since June already so its obvious that we won't see any bull run this year. This trend is somewhat disappointed, but we can't do anything because what's left are speculators who uses bot for trading. So there's no sign in the horizon for now, unless some good news will stir the market for a upward trend. But then again, everyone should used this as a measuring stick on how they can withstand the bearish mode and be flexible, accumulation is one good option.

About mining, sorry for the misunderstanding for not mentioning about altcoin/ethereum as my main coin and not bitcoin for obvious reasons.

1) To celebrate Christmas.
2) To close the books of the current accounting year.

Well, we cannot say yet how market would turn out, but there could be some possibility for some movement upward, which a lot of analysts are hoping for but that is not certain until we are able to move from the big triangle formation presently. We can see bitcoin going back to test the bottom of this triangle and how we do from here will determine how we go in the long run.

Nothing is actually certain yet, and like you said, many people always dump their stash on the market before the end of the year to celebrate Christmas, a lot can happen before then, so let's just assume Santa could come with the gifts before Christmas... ... Well, whichever way things turn out actually, who cares? The market has already been in a Christmas period for a while now with all the discounts he is giving to the smart ones to buy low, so it practically depends on each individual how they really want to be making the effort to stash up for the long run.
