in 2016 and 2017 yes, bitcoin, and other cryptocurrency always rise up in the end of the year, i think in this year we can see that the price of cryptocurrency will rise up in the end of this year, and i hope that it not rise up for a while, but it will rise up until next year

I think there are no accurate predictions about when the market will rise. but I just think that based on logic, usually towards the end of the year there will be lots of people who make profits for the plan of the end of the year and the possibility of market prices going down and of course when it is actually the right time to make crypto purchases.

it's been too little time to call it a strong trend and expect a price rise by the end of the year

the thing about bitcoin price rise at this time is that market is ready and eager for the rise. which means there are lots of investors waiting eagerly with lots of money for any kind of signal so that they can start investing in bitcoin again. as you can see the volume has not been that high and people have been confused and scared for the past couple of months because of things such as ETF,... and the possibilities they have.
this means if a rise starts then it won't be needing that much time to become big. we can see $10k+ within two weeks even!

although I think we are going to see a slow rise to $10k and then shoot up from there. but that is another discussion.

There are several factors and events that influence the price in the last quarter of the year. A lot of people receive production bonuses and 14th cheques from their work, to the end of every year and some of them use this to invest in Crypto currencies. Some events like Black Friday and Xmas push down the price, because a lot of hoarders tend to sell some coins and most of these coins are converted to fiat currencies. <increasing the supply of coins on the exchanges>

I also think some of the whales pump the price to the end of the year, to take some profits to fund nice holidays and Xmas gifts in December, when you need more disposable income.

This is actually the case basing from history. A slight increase usually happens starting September with a few dips along the way towards end of year. This has somewhat become a trend for the past four years or so. A trend that can be considered as a guide for future investments. Prices are generally usually ATH from December going into January.

If you compare with last year, yes , But If we compare more than 5 years backward it isn't. Most of asking this because of last year Bullrun and crypto holders expect same bull run this year this is some kind of hopes. Market depend on News and fud and It can make it bear or bull market

Go to CoinMarketCap and see for yourself that this is not so. It seems more like every two years there is a jump, I do not think that this year we will see a significant increase. Even now, the bulls can not normally gain a foothold for the reversal of prices. Yes and there is no for sharp reversal.

It is something you can verify yourself by looking at a chart. And the end of a year doesn't really mean in increase in the Bitcoin's price. Some year did see an increase but it wasn't because it was the end of a year, it was part of a natural growth. On another side some years saw the value declining

The condition of the market at the last quarter of the year tends to be bullish. It has always been like that for some time now and online market thrives in history of the market because the market repeats its movement. Nobody can authoritatively give the reason why the market is always bullish during the end the year. I believe it is just because the market keep repeating itself.

If you look inot the price charts it was just last year when the price pumped so high. Much of it was because the bitcoin forks that happened for the first time that year and people were of the notion that stocking up bitcoin would give then a huge amount of bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold. So they did stock them up and the end result was the huge pump. Then also some people like to invest assets before the holidays into the market  - but the truth behind this is still not proven but assumed to be true.

This year people are so speculative about the pump that I feel there will be a premature dump than pump.

This may not be repeated every year
or the increase may be greater

The baseline for the speculation for an ATH at the end of the year usually happened in Q4 and that is why people are expecting for a great bullish market to recur at this months. It's not bad at all if you go with the flow since majority of the people in this community believes that bull market is on it's way to make a rally. Bitcoin price is rising towards the end of the year, remember last November. The months are the most calm and calm months. I think the Bitcoin price will increase in the last months of 2018.

 For long time on penetrating in the world of crypto, we individually experience this current scenario, as well on the last year, bull run do exist before the year end. And maybe this year it will happen and feasible to go beyond the highest peak. And I am very hopeful bull run will come over sooner and may it take consiistently.

People predict that way. But since they expect it to happen usually big whales don't want them to ride with it. You just have to wait and be surprise and also be prepared for anything to happen.

You should look at the market History to confirm it yourself. Well, it does rises before ending the year for some unknown reason. Probably because of FOMO getting spread around before the year ends. I remembered there's an expert who spreads FOMO around his twitter which makes things hype for some couple of weeks, I think it's one of the reason.
