The greatest suspicions and alleged remarks on the blockchain really reflect all the hypocrisies of this world. The blockchain is expected to be perfect while at the same time the traditional system has more holes than patches.
Why would it be necessary for the blockchain to be perfect while everything else is in complete disarray?
We really do not have to be disturbed by such remarks, but only to work on improvements.
Blockchain has the potential to improve important problems in society's economic architecture and it leaves very little room for deceptions and unfair evaluations.
That's where the problem begins for the traditionalist.
The impossibility of speculation and false assessment, the misuse of all kinds, which are usually done at the expense of ordinary people, terrify them the most.
We don't need to be concerned about whether the blockchain is perfect, but to improve it and make it better and the rest is unavoidable

being concerned with perfection keeps people on their toes and look for solutions.
having the mindset to not care for the imperfections, or indeed advertise that blockchains are already utopian perfection is to be lazy, brush the issues under the carpet and not want to innovate blockchains.

utopianism is for those that dont want to see the reality. they just want to sit and dream of perfect futures.

its better to be a realist/perfectionist. and call out when things are not perfect. as thats the only way flaws get talked about and solutions get found. even if there is nothing that will ever be perfect. by keep highlighting the imperfections lets people find possible innovations that fill those concerns

first of all being perfect is always the goal, we don't have to ever reach it because it is impossible. but secondly you should not confuse the technology not being perfect with the projects that are build on top of it. for example there are a lot of altcoins with security holes in them that they created themselves only because they wanted to be different!

Lightning network is a separate network that many coins will use. its a multicoin network not dependant on bitcoin and not a sole feature of bitcoin.
its just a separate tool for people to lock the 8 decimal real coins up. and then play with unconfirmed 12 decimal tokens on a separate network. lightning does not offer the security concepts that a blockchain does. instead its a network where people have to rely on other people to be online and able to accept and pass on funds like a game of hot potato. it also has things like chargebacks and x time delays for releasing real funds(CLTVCSV and revocation= bankers 3-5 day dlay and chargeback)

the 'benefit' of LN is when everyone including the destined payee is online. payment of unsettled funds can be done faster. LN is to many coins what visa is to many fiats.
saying ln is a bitcoin feature is like saying Visa is a dollar feature. meaning very narrow minded until you travel around the world and realise visa is used for pounds,euros.

many people are too complacent that LN is the only solution. the only future. but the reality is that LN is th backward devolution moving away from blockchain and moving back into the concept of locking up real value and playing with a second entity/group that you require their consent.

Without an aim for perfection, how will we be sure that the devs would never stop improving the protocol? Also, the blockchain environment and all the exploits are ever-changing, so while perfection cannot be attained, at least try to always maintain it at a near-perfect level to assure that it's working to its fullest potential and no problems whatsoever arise.

No system is perfect, but the ones working on it can be perfectionists and sharp to details.

They can be issues with any ICO, but that doesn't make the blockchain imperfect, the problem is from the ICO it self that why we have different ICO to solve different problem in different areas.

Fiat have been said to be lacking in certain areas, so blockchain should be able to go pass such imperfection. Although, blockchain is already taking over the centralization of fiat.

perfect is not, but the problem is, the negative side of bitcoin and cryptocurrency is very influential, therefore improvements should always be there and continuously so that some groups do not exploit this weakness

I don't agree with this notion. This is a financial asset, if you say it mustn't be perfect, then you're giving room for errors then. Imagine your average financial institution makes the same statement, what will you think of them? So the same way we create an error free environment/system, that's the same way we should treat bitcoin and other altcoins. In fact, that is how any asset should be treated. Tighten every lose ends, provide a very secure wall against fraudsters, make it more useful, control it's degree of volatility, make it more functional in diverse market, in that way we can have a trusted system worthy of relying on.

The Blockchain is perfect, because it is immutable and it is not losing any information.  The protocol on the other hand, has some scaling issues, but this is being addressed by second layer applications like the Lightning Network and if needed some Block size increases.

We are dealing with software that can be tweaked and updated as needs change, so this is really a non-issue for us. I have seen some other coins with much bigger problems, so compared to them, Bitcoin is perfect.

Even if it wouldnt be perfect,there abounds no harm in striving for perfection,as in it you attain a near perfect level...

If you rest on your laurels and claim that it's impossible to attain perfection,in no distant time you'll destroy what you've built, and you definitely won't move forward...

So if we strive to improve the blockchain in order to achieve perfection,improve it's transparency,speed in transactions and security,definitely the system would rise to the top, and definitely stay there.
