Given Stellar’s remarkable speed and reliability in transaction, one of MXRT/MartialArtsCoin’s chief purposes is to replace fiat-based, banking and remittance transactions across international borders for manufacturers of martial arts sportswear and equipment without the cumbersome network delays, bank and cards fees, and minimums.

It is obvious that the value of any currency may rise or fall (as it is used or not, and the tokens are traded or lie fallow), but we consider this aspect to be a by-product and not a purpose.
MXRT/MartialArtsCoin will launch without a traditional Initial Coin Offering. This choice is intentional and intended to demonstrate a seriousness for the natural creation over time, of a successful currency, and to set MXRT/MartialArtsCoin apart from the many disreputable ICO coins that have come and gone over the past year.
Through its parent corporation, it is intended to organically grow its network of Martial Arts schools, fitness centers, equipment manufacturers, event promoters, and Martial Arts financial services companies by offering a tokenized trading marketplace, as well as escrow abilities for international transactions.
During the next four quarters we will complete development and deployment of MXRT-powered applications aimed at the 4 core segments of the martial arts ecosystem listed below. As a martial arts business pioneer, Professor Burrello has spent the past 46 years practicing and teaching martial arts professionally. He serves as the Soke (Head of Family) for Jodokkdo/Jododkkjitsu/Jododkkkali at the World Jododkkdo Federation, and has promoted over fifteen regional and nationally rated Martial Arts tournaments and events.
Daniel Burrello has served as a college professor for the past ten years, currently teaching for four Universities as an adjunct, and one as a full-time professor. He currently teaches diverse subjects from Social Psychology, to The Technology Revolution. He also serves as a subject matter expert for portfolio evaluation in the fields of psychology and martial arts at the university-level.
Professor Burrello earned his master’s degree in psychology with a concentration in counseling from the University of West Alabama, and his terminal degree of Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Queens University Charlotte. His current research involves a synthesis of disciplines, from the study of the Social and Psychological impact of blockchain technologies, to Decentralization, Autonomous Entities and A.I.
Tara BurrelloCo-Founder, CFO
Tara is a Virginia native but has lived and worked in Florida and now lives in North Carolina. Tara has studied both Jodokkdo and Aikido to an advanced level.
Her management experience in banking has given her a unique vantage-point in her approach to cryptocurrencies, and their specific needs to find greater adoption. As the Chief Financial Officer for MXRT, she has honed her auditing skills to a fine point.
Kevin PhillipsCo-Founder, COO
Kevin has always been willing to color outside the lines to solve problems. Barely 25, he changed the way intelligence was produced and disseminated at a national-level intelligence center and became a ground-floor architect for Joint Vision 2010. He later envisioned a better way to manage the target intelligence his team was producing in western Iraq and changed the process for an entire theater.
Since leaving the military he has focused on digital marketing, and particularly the implementation of analytics practice to vigorously scrub for optimization opportunities. He previously ran digital analytics for Orvis before shifting to private practice. An experienced martial artist, he has been a practitioner and instructor for over 30 years. Kevin received his MBA with a concentration in Project Management from Norwich University.
Damon HillVP, Brand
Graphic designer with 30+ years of experience in print advertising and screen print design. Has developed from initial concept phase to full brand design playbooks.
Damon is also an experienced martial arts instructor who has not only taught thousands of students, he also co-founded Modern Martial Arts Academies and co-developed one of the most effective children’s programs ever launched.
Jazz WattsCMO
Jasper Watts was awarded his first black belt in 1989 under MMA/JDD Systems. He has taught and trained well over 30yrs in various martial arts. He has contributed his expertise to the MXRT project in communications and media relations.
Mr. Watts has earned a B.A in Speech Communications & Theater from University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from University of Florida, and has worked in both mainstream and martial arts education as a teacher on secondary and collegiate levels.
