Hello. I apologize for using machine translation - I do not speak English. I want to offer my vision of the further development of bitcoin, more precisely the complete client of bitcoin - the bitcoin kernel with the full version of blockschain. At the moment, the network of constantly working full-time customers is not quite sufficient for the stable operation of blockschain bitcoins, and if we talk about the bitcoin mining network, it's still worse there. My idea will increase the degree of decentralization of bitcoin and blockade and extraction blockschain by 10 or 100 times.  The essence of the idea is to implement Bitcoin Core, as well as possibly bitcoin mining in any widely available widely used software - Internet browsers, games, antiviruses or even the operating system used by millions of people, thereby making the network of sites bitcoin very large and superstable, and also, if possible, do the same with bitcoin mining. The most suitable for this purpose I see mass computer network video games. I'll explain why - such games require a fairly powerful computer, which means that the process of updating the network node in the background bitcoin or mining will not heavily load the client's computer. At the same time, computer games are not vital software, and clients, if they do not want to download their computer, support the bitcoin network, they can refuse to use such a game without problems. But even more interesting in my idea is that I propose to benefit directly from the very Bitcoin Core array, which for the time being lies on computers useless and only takes up space in memory. I suggest using the Bitcoin Core database as a source for generating game cards. It can be any map - like a map of the terrain, and a very large terrain, and even a whole virtual planet, which is quite possible, given the size of Bitcoin Core, and the room. Of course, for this purpose we need different interpreters of Bitcoin Core, which will be able to interpret the same Bitcoin Core database in completely different types of maps. Bitcoin bitcoin can be interpreted in a map of the city, in a mountain map, in a map of the forest with trees and hills, or in an ocean with islands and continents. Probably, for the most mass game it will be necessary to create only one card, but it's very big, considering the size of Bitcoin Core. Despite the large size, it is likely that such a card can become boring for players - but this will not happen due to the fact that Bitcoin Core constantly grows with new transactions - and this is the key to the success of my idea! Even more interesting and important is that players, constantly moving on a map generated on the basis of Bitcoin Core, will remember it, and eventually learn it by heart - which is very good! This means that the memory of millions of players, in addition to the memory of machines, can serve as another factor of stability and unchanged Bitcoin Core, which will further reduce the chance that attackers will be able to crack Bitcoin Core and make changes to it, in order to steal money. This is a very useful factor, I think. Here I will outline the more detailed characteristics of a possible game with integrated Bitcoin Core. I think that in addition to the game for the operating system MS Windows, there must necessarily be a version under Linux for obvious reasons - there are fewer viruses and Linux developers will like it. This means they too can take part in the development of such a game. I believe that for the purposes of the proposed project, Massively multiplayer online first-person shooter, MMOFPS, is best suited. Such games are the most massive at the moment, and they will remain for a long time. In addition, I have some suggestions that will help make this type of game financially profitable, without compromising the reputation of the game. These suggestions work well for Massively multiplayer online first-person shooter.
More details about this can be read on   http://recool.su/sms.html

I think, first we need to try to create an interpreter program that will make a map from a blockchain in order to see what happens. Perhaps making a map out of a blockchain will fail.

I can't imagine anyone being willing to download the 185 GB Bitcoin database just to play a game. Perhaps 185 GB will seem tiny in the future, but for now i don't think your idea is feasible.

Bitcoin is the world's first cryptocurrency, a form of electronic cash. It is the first decentralized digital currency: the system works without a central bank or single administrator. Bitcoins are sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer bitcoin network directly, without the need for intermediaries.

If the gamer will receive some money (satoshi) for participating in distributed mining - why not?

Mining Bitcoin with a CPU is no longer economically feasible, currently earning less than $0.002 per year. Who would pay the gamer to mine, and why?

This is just one of the options to attract users. If the cost of bitcoin rises again in the future, then it will also be profitable. In addition, there is a GPU in the gaming computer besides the CPU. But the most important way to attract users to the game is of course its quality and creativity, the interestingness of the game. This is where I can help developers. I have enough creativity.

The reason specialised hardware is used to mine is because it doesn't have to waste processor cycles and memory on a general-purpose operating system, a browser, games and whatever else you might have running in the background on your PC.  Doing all that extra stuff means you aren't hashing as much as you could be.  An ASIC can dedicate itself solely to the task of hashing.  It's more efficient.

Your idea might result in more decentralisation if it were viable.  But it can't be economically sustainable, because the more efficient specialised hardware would perform better and earn more of the block rewards.  There wouldn't be sufficient incentive for the gamers to waste their resources and not get adequately rewarded.

Plus, gamers tend to care about their ping.  If you keep lagging and you lose the game as a result of hashing on the side, it's going to negatively affect your gaming experience.

its tiny now a 256gb microsd card is the size of a fingernail.
Cheesy

as for the OP's post
firstly the problem with core is that it tries to download th entire blockchain first before then letting people see an uptodate balance to then spend funds. which is the big headache people have with the 185gb.... waiting
again
storage is not an issues a 256gb microsd card is the size of a fingernail. so not a "it needs a server debate"

solution:
use the bloom filter feature to grab data specific to the users wallet first. so they can see a balance and spend..
(after all if someone supplies false info the relay network would reject the users spending tx.. no harm no loss)

and then do the blockchain download as a background task, which users dont need to notice/wait for. thus they can spend and sync without stress

secondly average joe doesnt need to be a full node if all they care about is one spending address they want to monitor.
its merchants that will be getting funds from thousands/millions of different people that will need to check and validate and store the blockchain. while forming an up-to-date utxo set of the whole network for efficient monitoring. so no point in worrying or attempting to make every games console a full node

thirdly having every device have bitcoin core software is not decentralised... its just distributed.. there is a difference.
imagine if all games consoles had the last version of core firmware locked into it.. and then the recently announced bug got announced. imagine how many gamers would have to sort their console out.
this is why diverse codebases of different development teams is better.
imagine it as if all cars on the road were all one car brand. and a recall due to dodgy brakes was announced..
everyone is affected
now imagine different car brands, different models all happily using the same road network. yea one brand has a recall. but most of the road network still moves and drives on. thus only affecting a few road network users.

Bitcoin has been introduced to the world by an unknown person named Satoshi Nakamoto from the year 2009 till now the real personality has not be revealed due to some reasons may be he is not interested in getting fame ,anyhow he is a a great genius to the modern world to present this digital and decentralized currency without a third party interference and the transactions made fast and easy to the dropping economy .  The transaction is made easy even for the lay men . Anyway the creation of Bitcoin has almost reached its goal and by the way blockchain technology has been accepted by all span . that is the block chain technology helps in corruptions  and it cannot be manipulated and blockchain technology is the backbone of  new type of Internet The true vision of the creator of Bitcoin  has been fulfilled by accepting   Bitcoin world wide and it have been a miracle both technologically and economically  to the global system.

1. It is primarily about the Bitcoin core, and not about mining
2. It is not necessary to work the bitcoin core all the time, it can be interrupted for the duration of the game, but to work fully when the gamer is resting.

^ here is your issue

meaning the rest of your topic post is about DISTRIBUTION not decentralisation.
imagine a bug needing a recall of devices. or a firmware update. if everything is core then the recall/update ends up coming from a single central point

its the same as demanding all computers only run microsoft

As far as I know, the Bitcoin core is reliably verified and no errors are detected there and will not be detected with high confidence.
As for mining, you can make a separate game with a mining unit for those who want it, but it is better to do mining on the game server. Hardware requirements for mining and game server are similar, and it is quite possible to combine it.
Although there is another option (I wrote about this earlier), you can make mining distributed over a large number of gamers (pool of gamers-miners)
In order to stimulate gamers to give the mining unit in the game to work, while the gamer does not play, you can make a special bonus that is spent while the player is playing and recovering, while the player is not playing, but the game is not closed.

1. first of all you trusting a team does not give reason to only have one. infact trusting a team and denying an option for more than one team is centralisation at its essense.
nothing wrong with you trusting one team. but denying other teams as an option is not decentralisation
oh and...
core announced a mega bug in their code that would DDos all core node at once running 0.14+ just a month ago.

2. oh your are mentioning the consoles have to connect to a server.. that again is echos of pools and centralisation..
this topic seems to sound less and less like a decentralisation effort. and more so just a way to sell games consoles..

3. within days of releasing consoles that can mine. someone with $10000 would buy a 50 consoles and hook them up as a pool
within a week someone with $1m will hook up 5000 consoles as a pool. and within a month you would see bigger investors with enough stock to have 500,000 consoles linked up as a pool. thus. all the idea of 'console' mining is doing is causing hashrate drama for a month before its back to usual of pool mining again.

4. oh and even PoS is becoming pooled. so dont think that console mining will be distributed for long, because PoW and PoS will always end up being pooled once it meets a certain threshold of greed/need.

think about it if a block is 12.5btc($63k) but only one 1 winner every 10 minutes. as soon as lets say 1million people want to mine. each user has to wait for "luck" of between 1-1mllion blocks to get $63k
they will naturally prefer to increase the odds and get a more regular income by pooling rather that a one in 20 year chance for just a one time win of $63k

5. people have already planned out putting a single asic chip into a LED WIFI controlled light bulb. thinking 'every house can mine'. problem was that other people already planned to snip off the LED filament end. and just have a rach of the asic bulb screw ends running
