I would expect for each country to care about their own currency only.

If shipped to US maybe add a disclaimer: "Ripped accidentally from dog" j/k
I think if they find them (in the US), they have to confiscate them and there's a public service that if you send them damaged ones, they check and return intact ones (or rather a check for an equal amount).
