Introduction to Caelum Project

Caelum is an ERC20 PoW/Masternode hybrid token.The name Caelum is derived from the Caelum Supercluster, the largest collection of galaxies known today. In the cryptocurrency sphere, Caelum ($CLM) is the token used across a series of projects under the all encompassing umbrella that is “Caelum Project”. Caelum Project is a community focused cryptocurrency built on the Ethereum blockchain. The project is lead by Skippy Brussels with the support of Caelum Community members.

Caelum Project’s existence is driven by a desire to improve the cryptocurrency scene we know today and keep innovating to help increase mass adoption. The crypto industry is plagued by thousands of copy-paste works which add nothing to the overall cryptocurrency scene. Many projects out today seek to solely create profit, revenue or financial benefits for their holders. This is not the main priority for Caelum. Caelum aims to stand out from the crowd, as an innovator and significant contributor to improving the overall image of cryptocurrency.

Caelum Project’s first achievement is creating it’s new and innovative distribution model. It’s first use case will be based around a fully decentralised Digital Asset storage solution. In simpler terms, there are many “lost” wallets, from people who passed away without sharing information on how to access these digital assets. Caelum will create an automated and trustless way to manage the inheritance of digital assets.

Key points and Summary

- PoW/Masternode, where rewards decrease from 100% mining rewards to 2% PoW and 98% Masternode rewards overtime. A Masternode requires 5000 CLM, or equivalent of a voted for ERC20 token, as collateral. Mining is similar to 0xBitcoin, and can be done with CPU/GPU.

- The simplest Masternode setup in existence. No downtime, no interaction, no need to keep a PC or laptop running. Once setup it is running until you withdraw your tokens you used as collateral.

- Decentralised voting ,  for Masternode token requirements, such as the amount of tokens needed and whether to accept another ERC20 token as Masternode collateral.

- The first Utility will be a Digital assets storage/inheritance platform based on IPFS/DAT

Masternode setup is handled at the TOKEN CONTRACT, this will handle all monetary matters. The masternode contract is mainly used to store data and retrieve information regarding the masternodes.

Token mining is active using the mining contract for solo mining

I think that the future belongs to hybrid platforms, as well as to hybrid cars. This is a democratic platform, since not everyone has the best equipment for mining.

Thanks for the fair release and ability to get prepared. An excellent sign of fairness. I do not know any other project that made slow mining start for 4500 blocks.

Caelum has been brought to my attention like two months ago. And when I researched it I could not believe my luck on how super early this project is and that its use case (a digital inheritance solution) makes so much sense, that I am sure it will gain traction soon.
First the logical steps will need to be taken, like the release of the "black book" (Caelums White paper).
Other points I like is that there is no ICO, where you have to be afraid of the first listings since people will dump all over you.
You will actually have to mine them.
Another point which always needs to be considered for projects to be successful is the community. And boy, this is a community. It does not matter when you are in their telegram group and ask noobish questions, you will get help. And I have asked many dumb questions, I can tell you.
Not to forget the developer. He really looks out for the community.
Anyhow, I am sure glad to be on board.

This isn't an ICO, so didn't need any investors to get it started. So a traditional white paper isn't needed. That said majority of info is on the GitHub. But a "Black Book" is being worked on that will outline the project aims and the distribution method, and the functions of MN within Caelum.

I didn't want to implicate that this is an ICO and that is not what interests me. I was referring to a statement in roadmap which said "Q4 2018 - Alpha of first utility Digital assets storage/inheritance platform". I would like to know is this ready or at some percentage of readiness at the moment?
The info about whitepaper/black book is not crucial but IMO it is kinda odd that this document is being made for so long and like you've mentioned so much info already exist (github...). As far as I can remember from Telegram group you've started to work on this very long time ago and first release could have been out already.

sorry for the late response. There are currently 3 miners for minable ERC-20 tokens. They are Cosmic Miner, Solidity SHA3 miner and Mvis token miner.
Cosmic is only for NVIDIA, Mvis only for AMD and Solidity SHA3 miner is for both types of GPU.
