There is no way one bitcoin alone would have sustained him through his journey to those countries even when bitcoin was at the highest price of $19,000+. I want to believe he has some money set aside or that people gave him extra donations but the press is not telling us all this.

Well, it says that he was mostly "couch surfing", so you can subtract accommodation cost from this scenario. I am just

curious how he paid for travelling cost and food for this experiment/journey. Did he cash out when the price was at a

ultimate high and use that money or did he use the 1 bitcoin he had? If he used the bitcoin over that period, then it

depreciated in value of over 60%, so that would have been devastating.  Roll Eyes

Interesting. I don't think we are getting the actual fact here. I bitcoin cannot do the magic else he is from another world.
The truth is that you should finish watching the news and video.

He shouldn't be calling Bitcoin at a depreciated price. Maybe he just wants to prove that Bitcoin is the universal currency of the world.

I can't wait until the documentary gets released thank you OP Sell100 for posting this here.

The preview makes me interested to see it. I'll take everything this guy says with a grain of salt because of his ability to craft good narratives. I hope it's free cause I'm cheap as hell.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

How can I believe this?  Can just one bitcoin sustain anyone to travel to eighteen different countries? I am sure that some monies were not mentioned here and I find this very difficult to believe. Did he also pay for feeding from the one bitcoin? That is less than $7000.

An excellent documentary in which he presented Bitcoin away from everything in the news channels of being a bubble, an investment tool or a link to dark activities.
Although I doubt that one bitcoin is enough to travel between India, China, Egypt, and Europe, he has proved that Bitcoin is making a difference in some communities.

There are some similar trips made by a lot of young people, who seem to rely on cryptos.

This was already answered in the thread. Read the previous posts before you ask the same question again.
He ate the cheapest meals he could find.

1BTC is quite a lot of money. If you wanted to travel around Europe it wouldn't even cost you 1000 USD to visit each country by train. Cheap hotels cost you less than $50 a night and if you set your journey right you can sleep on the train or plane and have a whole day to walk around your new location.

If he traveled around Asia or South America it would be even cheaper. Not easy to find a place to convert into spendable cash or find a place that will actually accept bitcoin, but it would be possible. Argentina will be bitcoin crazy next year with all those ATM machines going in

yes, traveling the world by using bitcoin is possible. even today, many companies accept bitcoin payments, we can buy plane tickets with bitcoin on sites like Cheap Air, Expedia, and Destinia.

so, I don't think we are worried, because bitcoin provides easy transactions for every user with many merchants that serve bitcoin transactions.

and, if we live with bitcoin alone, that is enough to buy everything we need.
people who have been around the world with bitcoin is Felix Weis, maybe we should learn from him.

This is in fact a pretty good idea to put Bitcoin on the map of more people again and encourage a lot more discussion about the current possibilities it offers.

It is a pretty impressive accomplishment and an example for all of us here. What else can be accomplished if we challenge ourselves like this?

Someday this film will go down in history as the legend of buying pizza for several thousand bitcoins by a certain Laszlo. A good idea for the film, but I do not envy this traveler in wild places without Internet.
