Fork from within side? Obviously he used a translator he can’t be bothered to even use proper english on his rant
smh, shows the utter disdain bitmain has for us lol.

I suppose you are right @voskcoin bitmain is bothered by this probably due to the precedent this retro style fork sets, i.e brick asics by brand not asics in general.

Good for siacoin , hopefully the eth devs follow

Actually go watch his presentations. He speaks english and it just makes you sound like an asshole for calling someone out on mistakes they made on the second or third language they have learned.

I'm glad siacoin did this and it's a bold move on their part. Possibly similar to the move Monero made, almost a year ago. I don't see why Siacoin devs had to wait this long to even do this considering they are a direct competitor with their Siacoin Obelisk ASICs.

This won't hurt bitmain much tho. Bitmain is already filthy rich.

all sia is doing is futher specifying an already specific market ..

asic deepstate asic.

Get the fuck outta here. i'm serious... giving traction to these fucks. it's a glory show. it's pure bs. im starting to get angry.

THERE tech doesn't deliver cost effective storage.

this is a scam coin. thats hiding in disguise, with traction because of very calculated market manipulation REGARDLESS of what bitcoin is doing.
we need to stop this shitshow.

theres coins chains being created daily. and im not telling you don't mine this or that. do what you want.

but this level of fuckery. needs to not go unnoticed. fuck em.

just leaving my shit stain for all to see and beware.

Good post bro.... loose the music  Tongue

thanks man Cheesy

All together or you think it was too loud?

A lot of research I've read stated that music promotes increased watch time -> and thats the main metric YT uses to rank / suggest your video to more viewers

I like the background music.  Reminds me of the VHS "adult films" I watched when I was in junior high  Cool

So basically SIA will change the algo a little bit and make it incompatible with the Bitmain/Inno ASICs however how do they know that Bitmain/Inno won't just make another ASICs in the near future.

The Obeslik miner is it based on an FGPA or is it an actual ASIC? Because they instead should of just banned all ASICs and used an algo like ProgPOW and gave the mining back to the GPUs which are more decentralized than only the purchasers of Obeslik miners.

They are after profits like I stated many times, if it was for the good of the coin concerning security and decentralization then sia would be gpu only. I will never promote sia coin and I support it to fail long term because of these dictatorial practices.

It's great to see SIA break away from ASICS, how i hoped that Ethereum would do the same...

"break away from ASICS" correction, is not breaking from, sia will still be asic from and more importantly asics from sia devs.

They took too much time to do that, although is a nice thing they did but i'm afraid is too late, the damage is already done and to recover from that, will be years.

I agree. They needed to do this the day Bitmain announced their miners.  I remember when they rejected a fork and I thought to myself that this was a bad idea.  At least it was nice to see someone stand up to Bitmain.

They're not "standing up to Bitmain" and it is foolish to claim as such. They are centralizing asic mining to profit from 100% of all asic miner sales used for this coin................ Communism is alive and well in Crypto it would seem. I wonder what decision will be made next to benefit the Sia team?

In case anyone has forgotten, the whole base principle of cryptocurrency is decentralization. Sia is now centralized and no doubt they will have representatives arguing till the end of time they are not but the facts are evident. At this point in time you couldn't run fast enough to give me a Sia coin.

Well if I were sia I would brick your team’s asics along with innosilicon.

Then I would not sell any more of my asics.  Wait until bitmain and innosilicon copy my asics.

Say 120 to 180  days then brick all copycat asics of my asic.  So at this point I then would switch to progpow+cnv2 mashup that every end of the month the algo is picked be the tx id for the last block of the month.

I could ruin most asics made in the last year that wiped out the entire worlds gpu mining value by careful attacks against asics.

But I just a guy in   NJ , USA typing on an iPad mini.

The cryptocoin industry was dealt a wicked attack when bitmain crushed gpu coins with asic after asic and flooded the market with them at dirt cheap prices.

But you are a guy based in China and I am a guy based in the USA so we will differ on what is best for coins.  To me I no longer see bitmain’s  vision that  they have for crypto coins.

To fanatic26 I do not think you are wrong to side with bitmain.  If I were in your position I would most likely do so.

I had a 2 megawatt deal in solar die for me.

I would have had 333kwatts at 1 cent if the deal worked.

I would have purchased 200 s9js with psus in late July and be close to roi already.
