This. It's fine if bitcoin is already well adopted globally, probably at the same rate of gold's volume and liquidity, then it would be great. But probably not that great right now as bitcoin is still mostly speculation. But then again, price stability is good for merchants to accept bitcoin.

Got a point. Todays market is better to be volatile than to be stagnant because probably there will be no people to engaged to cryptocurrency if it happens. But it is okay to be steady if people all around the world will use it and this is a good indication for it to become a currency.

with bitcoin we want people to engage it as a currency not as an investment so being stable is actually a good thing for bitcoin because it helps it be an even better currency than it already is.
what you are talking about only concerns altcoins that people purely engage in as an investment so if they become stable it is the death of them.

We don't want a stagnant price or a volatile price, the best is a stable and steady increase in price. That way bitcoin can still be used as a payment instrument but it also means that adoption is steadily increasing. To answer the question though, staying at 6000 for the next period of time wouldn't be too bad of a scenario. It would mean adoption would increase and investment may increase as people see it as a safer steadier investment.

stagnation will tend to decrease prices, this should not happen continuously, unless the user is already wide enough and bitcoin is active in public business, there is still a lot of development to do and with price increases, the value will grow with the connotation of various new investors every year .

I think it will be better for bitcoin if they show some movement in their price, if the price remain the same in the next year it doesn't mean that bitcoin is failed, but it will make the progress of bitcoin is gone. It means that the price is going to stagnan.

I'd say it's good. I rather have a stable, slow rise than a volatile move up or down. I don't like sudden huge price increase because it's mean Bitcoin is in a bubble, the rise in price during that pump isn't caused by development but people FOMO buying. It has been happening many times, both the 2013's $1,000 and 2017's $19,000 are followed by a huge drop. That's not healthy in my opinion.

Another reason why I like a constant price is I could accumulate more before we're having another major leg up. I really want to have several BTC in hands before another big pump is coming or I could never afford it at all.

There is some positiviety and negativity if the prices were stayed at $6000 in next year also,the positiveity is that when the prices were stable for too long then the people will accept bitcoin as form of payment since now the merchants were afraid of volatility when they accept them but the negativity is the mining cost,already lot of miners were not getting any profits from bitcoin mining so if they stop supporting it then it will put a big question mark for the future of bitcoin.

We don't know what will happen but we can create some predictions based on the previous Bitcoin prices annualy. If we will be basing the price there, we will be ensuring a great price and far more higher than the current Bitcoin price. But as I've said, it is just a prediction, we still don't know what will happen.
