MyEtherWallet is great as far as I am concerned, it does everything I want and has support for every single ERC-20 token out there. I am happy with the security options it offers and I think it will keep everyone else happy also from software to the Hardware wallet users. The fees are easy to understand and easy to change, speed is dependent on the Ethereum network rather than the wallet itself.

Actually, MetaMask will be safer to keep ERC-20 tokens but MEW is also good if you can manage the wallet carefully. I agree with @elwiswoodie, be careful to save the private key. It is the most important thing to access wallet. For the transaction speed, I think overall I have no problem with the speed, it is normal and good enough.

Yes it's very good ERC20 wallet.i like myetherwallet soo much.

Security is good .but you are responsible for your  wallet.while accessing myetherwallet (mew) check the website URL and access through metamask to make a safe transaction and also be safe with your private key.dont give your private to anyone.

transaction speed is fast but sometimes it  depends upon the etherum network and your gas limit.

currently MEW is my main choice wallet to store eth and other erc20 tokens. you can also set the speed of the transaction you want, simply set or increase the gas price (gwei) and gas limit according to your wishes.

It is a very easy to use online wallet for Ethereum, there is nothing wrong with MEW, it is the users that is the problem, if you visit a phishing site then you lose your money, make sure you install metamask plug in to help prevent phishing sites, cryptolites is a good one to install also

Of course its a good wallet. But as far as security, its beyond MEW control. As a wallet user, you really have to protect your account specially your private keys. If you're not careful then its your fault if your EtH or tokens is stolen. I'm pretty sure you know how to protect your account so do it at all cost.

As far as transaction, if you really wanted to get faster confirmation then increased your GAS, simply as that.

I saw some investors who lost their coins in MEW. So I don't usually recommend it to people.
And the safety of wallet is one of most important factors.

IMHO most problems people have not with the wallets hacking. Most problems they have someone hack their computer or phone with some kind of viruses. Speed of transactions depends from the network, not from your wallet.

I use MEW for the longest time., and i can say, its the best wallet for me, but if you think there is no security in your funds in it, try hardware wallet which is best for long term investors. Talking about MEW, i have no doubt of their service.

Weird though, MEW is the best wallet afaik regarding ERC20 based tokens and ETH. Its not MEW problems if you got phished or something, you have to blame yourself for not protecting your password or Private Keys. If you know how to safely guarded it, then that's your problem. Its beyond the control of MEW if the gas is high, it up to ETH network if its clogged or not.

Myetherwallet is a coded smart contract based wallet so it cannot offer dozens of features like the centralized or software like wallets, although security is ok if you keep your private key and password safe then your tokens will be safe as well.

For expensive gas costs, it depends on whether you want to make transactions quickly or not And until now I am still happy to use this MEW wallet, until now it is still safe to use it. For OP, if hear that mew have been hacked, that is the negligence of the user.

Safety is good. However, i would rather use MetaMask to keep ERC-20 tokens. MEW is good as well if you keep private key and password safe then your tokens will be safe as well.
