No doubt! I would go for BTC too but if i do have the money to spend on to crypto investment then putting eggs on many baskets would really be more preferable instead on focusing into one but since we are talking about single coin then its ideal to stick on the King or Father of all crypto which is BTC it might be outdated by some coins but we cant really deny on how big the community do supports it.

I will choose crypto like BTC or ETH. This coins are strong coins and compare to other coins it has more chance to make it in the future plus more chance that its price is soaring up high that time. We cannot deny that some coins did not make it to recover and keeps fallin. So choosing BTC or ETH has a higher chance to gain profit and a wiser decision to make.

if i could really only hold one coin, it would certainly be bitcoin. i have the most trust in him, even though i thought of ethereum first, i still choose bitcoin.

Indeed BTC has survived the tough times and proved to be the winner. One reason because it was the very first to enter.
But still to hodl for 10 years, I wouldn't bet on just BTC. As much as we all want the market to get more stable and secure, I don't see a reason to invest everything on one coin. Its not that altcoins can't compete and become as powerful as BTC. ETH has been doing pretty well and I am sure there will be others joining in as well.
Last reason would be to keep making profits. Long term hodl will not be as profitable as investing at the right time in the right coin and reap the benefits.

That's a no brainer for me, BTC is always my choice if that would be the question.

That's the pioneer cryptocurrency so it will not vanished soon enough.

10 year is a very long time for crypto and in 10 years time you'd see many of the current coins dying and new coins replacing these coins as the most used or one with most profit. If you insist on holding, buying a profit burned token from an established company would be the best bet. For example the popular BTC pool and the largest one for BCH, ViaBTC is holding an ICO.

BTC is my choice, but for 10 years I might have to choose ETH. For other alts they die and give birth to others way too often that I can't trust them enough. ETH has my trust so I would definitely put my money on ETH.

definitely, i will choose bitcoin, as far as history is concern, bitcoin being the pioneer has proven its stability compared to any crypto, and i think most of the crypto are based on bitcoin price, bitcoin owns the biggest chunk in the crypto market. second is eth, for the last 2 years, eth has come along side bitcoin. and has a promising future full of potential.

Bitcoin ofcourse, is the bull of coin.
With the expansion of the cryptocurrencies more and more people will invest on this market and the 1st coin where they will invest it will be Bitcoin.
For this reason bitcoin (if will not ban) will increase in value over and over and I think is the safest bet to hold.

Ofcourse a small coin has a higher chance to get a 10000x but also a higher change to do -99%.

I do agree with you and think that Bitcoin is indeed king and a good long term investment. However, i'd also like to invest in a queen, and that would be none other than Ethereum.

If anything, who knows, ETH could even surpass bitcoin's value in 10 years.

If it's only one, then I'm sorry to say, btc is the worst choice possible.

There is no way that btc will be around ten years from now.
That would be like someone 10 years ago saying that DVDs will still be valuable and worth something.

BTC is old tech.  It is expensive, energy consuming, and slow.  It has no practical real world usage at all.
It's only use now is that it is used to trade other crypto.

There are already cheaper, better, and faster blockchains out there now.
Surely they will replace btc?
Or, most likely, a smart contract platform will be around 10 years from now.

So, with that being said, you are looking at something like Nano, or ETH.
Maybe a privacy coin like monero too.

I think NEO because Neo have a great potencial cryptocurrency that china have biggest investor comes. Neo blockchain is very secured and fastest transaction. For the price of $17.00 USD is still low and good entry to buy and hodl it for 10 years and you will have a great profit for it.

Of course BTC is the king of cryptocurrencies and the most recognizable cryptocurrency in the world. But BTC has a rather large Commission in the transaction. So I would choose ETH, its network is built on a lot of significant tokens and now ETH is very much underestimated.

If i had to answer, then I'll obviously choose Bitcoin. Since i've already know how bitcoin is, for the last few years.
