I ordered last december.

Asked for a refund 1 day later (after discovering december delivery date wasn't coming)

4 months later and around 100 messages to Kenneth slauther I have yet to get that refund.

I contacted the office of the attourney general in jefferson county MO - got a letter back from them and the are actively pursuing / investigating him.

https://i.imgur.com/3cWHind.png

Do not buy anything from them.

I have also just filed a complaint with the attorney general's office. Wonder how long Mr. Slaughter thinks he can keep this charade going.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

These sorts of scams are kept going to make them appear legitimate.

they will even send out products to one or 2 people that will pretend to be customers.

Those poor shareholders on Active Mining who parted with their money - I am sorry for their loss of money  that they will never see again.

Ouch Sad
I had no idea VMC managed to have a decent number of customers.

Per chance, did any of you buy from VMC because someone told you it was going to ship? If so, who?
I personally bought because VMC themselves promised a shipping date of Nov2013
And at that time i did not see anything indicating a scam.

Edit: I ordered at July2013

4-22 refund still not received after a jan 12th  cancel.  As it turns out Ken has shipped 2 dozen or so re branded incomplete hashfast reject boards.  He still refuses to have someone answer the phone and answer pissed off customers questions.  The fact that VMC has any traction in the community is a testament to how full of scamming con artist the bitcoin community really is giving everyone a bad name.  Money and greed does crazy things to people.  I do believe that Ken will end up in jail as he is stealing money and lying to alleged customers about refunding their money furthering the charges mounting up against him.  It is really sad in many  ways that poor old man will get raped hard in prison even if its federal.

A long list of excuses on refunds from Ken - but all refunds have been sent (unless they haven't)

January 30, 2014, 02:25:51 AM
We have a back log in refunds and are processing those as fast as we can.  If you have requested a refund from customer support then it is being worked on.

February 05, 2014, 01:11:34 AM »
That should have been processed, please contact customer service and tell them it has been 7 weeks.

February 05, 2014, 11:04:02 PM »
We had a little problem in December with BTC processing, so all Bitcoin refunds have to be checked, so that may be the hold up.  I will look into why you refund has not be sent.

February 27, 2014, 07:13:29 PM »
Virtual Mining is currently processing and confirming pre-order refund requests.

March 10, 2014, 12:10:40 AM »
Refund to you ASAP.

March 11, 2014, 01:28:16 AM »
I have just hired a new customer service rep.

March 17, 2014, 03:57:11 PM »
Refunds will be processed in 2-4 weeks.

April 01, 2014, 07:29:34 PM »
Me:Ken, Given that refunds will never be processed, I'll take this deal to accept product from you instead of a refund.
Ken: I don't think so, we will just send you a refund.

April 07, 2014, 02:26:10 PM »
We will be issuing you a check soon.

April 22, 2014, 05:49:22 PM »
We are sending out your check today.

April 22, 2014, 06:05:53 PM »
@Magzy We are starting today to issue refunds including your check today.

Edit:  @Magzy  In getting your check ready, we found in our records that we have already issued our check number 123 on 2/17/14 to you.  That check has not cleared our bank, so we are put a stop payment on that check and re-issuing another check to you.

from me: April 23, 2014, 12:07:29 AM
No more false promises please.
This needs to be sent with a tracking number and a signature - I am happy to pay for this additional cost. Deduct it from the $769
OR the BTC address above I will then go through my post history and clean up any posts accusing VMC of scams et-al

April 23, 2014, 12:09:40 AM »
It has already been mailed today.

Sent to: kslaughter on: April 23, 2014, 12:12:52 AM »
So Given that I am at the bottom of the list as per your post 2 weeks ago, all refunds have been given now?

No Response fron Ken

Hi,
I'm from Poland and I want start a list who order from VMC , who Cancel order and did refund request with dates, nr of order and date of cancel and amount of $ .
I start from myself :

Order Reference VOAEWDKKJ -- placed on 2013-11-24 . I send on first by my mistake $9,039.60 and I should 9239.60 (Shipping Cost $200.00) so payment was accepted 3 weeks later. rest is clear.

2014-02-18 08:38:51   Refund
2013-12-13 09:52:13   Payment accepted
2013-11-24 12:39:41   Awaiting bank wire payment
2013-11-24 12:39:41   Pre-Ordered

details:
Fast-Hash One Platinum Edition Bitcoin Mining
Machine - 256 GH/s Expansion Modules : No
256GH/s Expansion Modules, Fast-Hash
Expansion Case : No Expansion Case, Fast-Hash
ONE Platinum 256 GH/s Module :
1.536TH-1,400 Watts

maybe someone do it in some excel or google docs will be nice.
If we do something with big list and big amount we can start group lawsuite or something,
but as u see we're only talking about and no one get any invested money  .
With checks I see what would be a lot of mistakes (from VMC), a lot of errors (spelling or adress from VMC) on check so we can wait to the death.
please we should do something because I thing a lot of us are pissed off (or everybody)
Regards
sorry for my english Smiley

You can also look up Virtual Mining at http://www.consumer.ago.mo.gov/search/complaintSearch.cgi

They have about 17 complaints with the attorney general's office.

I'm also outside the US but I still filed a complaint with the attorney generals office and they sent me an actual letter - not that it did much but add another complaint to the list.
If anything it will galvanise the criminal fraud investigation into VMC and Ken and make it a better case.

I agree. When they have 17 complaints against them for fraud, the attorney general has to notice and do something.

For those that are not aware, Wood Law Firm is investigating VMC and AMC. They want to hear from those who have been negatively affected. If enough people contact them, then there is a chance a class-action could be brought forth.

I've attempted to contact woodlaw but they seem to be as mute as Ken.
Nvm that they were busy with all the people they've been contacted by regarding this.
